It's a close second for me, Blowie.
Although I adore Darkness 11/11, House With No Door and the non-VdGG track A Louse Is Not a Home almost as much as Man-erg and Lemmings. Oh and Still Life is my second-favourite album of all time yet somehow two of my favourite VdGG tracks don't feature on that album.
Damn.
|
My other special favorites by them have to be Lost, Pioneers Over C and Scorched Earth. Amazing stuff!
|
Those too.
Lost is my favourite love song (although it happens to my break-up song too).
And I really happen to like Every Bloody Emperor a lot too.
|
I love the ending on Lost, with Hammill's "I Love You!" proclamations drifting into space followed by that bizarre 12/8 section again.

You know it's 12/8? Damn it, I need your ears and sense of timing.

Can you add Man Man, James. In the team thread, there's the bio.

It's basically 7+5, while the bar is 8 (Im no expert in this myself, other than actually counting those weird sigs)
Another one is Lemmings during the " We have looked upon the heroes.." section at the beginning. It's 6+6+6 adding up to 18/8

I posted in the atheism thread, but I talked about dog breeding so that's OK.

I can usually count those sigs, but have no idea if it's a 4 bar, 8 bar or whatever bar.
A bar with some drinks would have been nice now anyhows.

Finally! It turns out that one of my friends is actually a fan of Soft Machine, and wants to be a part of my band. I'm so happy.

Except for he dislikes Caravan. But the fact that there is someone in my school who knows and likes Canterbury music was a surreal moment. He is a bit older than me (18 years old,) but he is going to be ths singer in my band.

Well, we are not going to be a Canterbury band. Personally, I am planning that we will go down the Eclectic route. Anyways, this person has always mentioned he liked jazz, so it wasn't too surprising.
