Not many albums you can say this but I really like the drum solo by Art on a Night In Tunisia. He has that real drving Afro rythmn in it and mercifully does not fill it with unneccesary extra frills. I am not usually into lenghty drum solos Good album as most of his are

I play this one a bit and for good reason. I'd say this is the last total Jazz Masterpiece to come out on Blue Note in April 1967. Alfred Lion produced as all the good ones are. He'd sold the label but was still running the show and when he left the standard dropped on the label but when he was there, I am trying to think of a really bad album and there aren't any. Anyway this is one ripper of a Jazz album and even when I hardly played Jazz for a couple of years,this was the one I went for if not Miles or Coltrane
Alfred Lion produced his last session with Stanley Turrentine in July 1967 and that was that and as they say at the end of a footy game " There ain't no more'

^ Nice, I don't have any McCoy Tyner albums, though I do have a decent amount of stuff with Ron Carter (including his album Uptown Conversation, which is awesome).
