OK, back on topic now  ... I really don't understand what those people's beef with you might be, Pablo. One star means 'poor, only for completionists', and you made it clear in your review that it is exactly how you view the album. Anyway, I believe that the one- and two-star definitions are very similar to each other in meaning. I probably be demoted as well for giving one star to Deep Purple's Who Do We Think We Are?, since there are people who rated it much higher than I did. This is really crazy, as well as faintly distasteful... At this point, we should do away with the whole 'members' reviews' thing, and allow only a few select people to review - since it seems that we are not free to rate an album as we wish.

Yes, those are pretty much my thoughts. Not sure if would agree with ''selecting few reviewers'' though , but I know you said that as a reaction as what they said to me and I totally understand.
And yes, in meaning the 1 star and 2 stars are very similar.

Pablo, my suggestion was a provocation - I am not advocating that, even if most prog sites work that way. There is a site that even has an application form for would-be reviewers - just like a job!

You know, I am sure at least half of the reviews on this site don't comply with the guidelines in one way or the other. The thing is, many of them are of rather obscure albums, and this means it is much easier for them to fly under the radar. Then, those reviews posted in the early days of the site have escaped scrutiny in most cases, and very few will bother to report them. You were unlucky because you encountered a fanboy... E
Anyway, even if this thread has offered a few worthwhile points, I find its premises quite distasteful. You are an excellent reviewer, and one of the very best members of the site - and I have to commend you for your reaction. I would have probably raised hell if somebody had dared suggest I am not deserving to be a PR.
