^ Excellent Pix Alex - it's great to see a familiar place through different eyes, our vision becomes clouded with familiarity at times and I don't see it in quite the same way anymore, thanks for "opening my eyes" a little
Here are a few of my snaps from yesterday - another slant of looking at familiar landscapes in a different guise so we see them in a new light, these are taken in the Hampshire village where I live:
...the reason for "working from home" :
the field at the rear of my house:
the garden:
the road:
the bridge:
the railway station:
Alex on the village "green":
A tree:
Another tree, getting a bit "arty":
Real "arty", a tree and a street lamp:

Wow, what an amazing winter! What we have here over the Canal is nothing compared to that. Superb pictures, too!
RE London, I suppose a several million pictures of London are uploaded every year, so who am I kidding with my few hundred pictures I am about to share on Flickr? Still, I believe I can make the difference with my witty and pseudo knowledgeable comments |

Cool winter pictures, Dean. It reminded me of one done a while ago (not by myself, but by my mother)

New pix, today Budapest:
The true city of lights. Imposing. Pictorial. A pub bellow several tons of water hold only by glass. A surprising museum with wonderful collections and cozy atmosphere. Can't blame Marcus Aurelius, he had good tastes. Tintoretto's 60% opacity cat. |

I just discovered that exactly 100 years ago, Paris was under waters
A whole photo exhibition is dedicated to the floods of January 1910. Here are some samples: |

These are the two photos I used for my sig:
(Brasov - Transylvania, January 2009; I haven't added anything to it, I'm a Photoshop illiterate) (Bruges - Belgium, December 2009; the ice skating ring from the central plazza) Both come from great winter trips. |

That's okay, I also was lucky with this one, though it's by no means as great as yours:
Yeah, the definition(or resolution or however you call it) is pretty bad I know, but that's the best I can do with a pretty cheap Nikon Edited by The Quiet One - March 02 2010 at 19:23 |

^ I love catching planes in photos! There's a highway here which runs just over the landing trajectory of a major airport, and sometimes planes go over our car just 200 meters above us. Once we even parked on the safe way (which is illegal) and took a few pictures of a plane going over our heads. Your picture is one of a great dusk and a plane, so double win When I mentioned screen resolution in the Shred Room, I was referring to your computer monitor's resolution. The PA forum has a limit for the size of signatures, so if your monitor has a resolution not wide enough to completely show both my sig pics, the second one gets bellow the first one, and it isn't shown (because of the limitation). I also have a cheap Nikon (D60 more precisely) and it's a great beginner's camera! The price/quality ratio is unbeatable. Edited by harmonium.ro - March 02 2010 at 19:41 |

Thanks! Want to know where I took that photo? On the roof of my house, haha.
In our stay in U.S.A. we bought to my uncle a Nikon D3000, I'm so jealous!
