Hey Everybody! I know I haven't posted anything in like a bajillion years! Sorry I neglected you guys...It's my first semester in college and everything's been overwhelming....It's been a lot of fun, but I don't really have a lot of time anymore. I've missed you all!

Anyways...So, my Brother is making a new album. It's a mixture of Avant-pop and Zeuhl. I think you guys will like it. He made a video talking about it...it's really dorky, and I'm in it too. I think you guys will enjoy it! Let me know what you think about my singing. Oh by the way, if you offer to pledge he'll write some original music, do pixel art, and or make a game for you.
:D

Here's a link, and a little bit about it....

What in the world are you doing?
Begging strangers for money until I have enough to record, package, and promote a new record! Kickstarter.com seemed like a great place to start. Kickstarter assists creative people in their endeavors by providing a simple way for projects to gain traction through an online pledge system. Simply put, you fund my project, and I send you neat stuff in return.

What will the record sound like?
A schizophrenic collection of avant-pop songs set before, during, and after the Apocalypse. Ukuleles in 7/8. Stylophone fugues. Mellotron washes. Analog synthesizers. Yelping. Screeching. Did I mention the seventeen minute song cycle?

Where exactly is the money going?!
The entire minimum amount, $1,800, will go towards the recording, mixing, and mastering of the album. My band is made up entirely of friends who are generously donating their time and skills, so any funds exceeding the exact end cost (after replication and packaging) will be split up among them.

If I somehow get an incredible surplus of cash, I'll find a tailor and get a costume made so I can reverently copy Peter Gabriel in his glory days.

Avant-pop and Zeuhl you say.
I'd love to hear that. I will, as soon as possible, and give comments on it

Thanks so much, nice to have some input. Especially from a Zeuhl/Avant specialist. :)

Hi Christine,

The (very small) excerpts of the music your brother composed sounded great. I'd like to hear a bit more of it, and I hope for him that he'll be able to record a full album soon.
Sadly, I can not pledge and/or offer money. I'm fifteen and I don't work, so...

Anyway, if you have other samples and you'd like it to be evaluated by the ZART for inclusion, just ask.
Keep on doing good work and doing great music.

Well he does have some on his website. If you go to http://jaytholen.net you can listen to a few songs on that media player in the side bar.

Utterly Lovesick and Peace are good. There are some electronic pieces as well. There isn't any Zeuhl though, this is his first time with that.
