Hmmm. Not quite what I had in mind. |
Do tell! I have a comp by Erik Lindgren from BotM but its mostly commercial jingles and assorted pop tunes he did in the late 70s and 80s. I assume this is more avant?

This is my first listen to the album, and my first exposure to the band.
This is the introduction of the CD, which I thinks says a lot about what is within. "For their 13th album and in their 25th year together, post-punk, art-rock pioneers Birdsongs of the Mesozoic join forces with bass-baritone vocalist Oral Moses, who specializes in the art-song and spiritual repertoire of African-American composers, on a program of well-known spirituals. Together they bring these centuries-old songs into the 21st century">

I never exactly could figure out what that album was about, so I never got around to buying it even though it was four dollars. Birdsongs has decent chamber prog cred, but I just never bothered. How is it?

Well, it's looking like I won't make it all the way through my latest 50 (20 to go) before some new ones I have on order arrive. Life is tough.

An album I'd like to review some time in the future... This is REAL prog-metal, IMHO:

That's an album I'd like to buy, but it's been out of print for ages... Some day, some day.
