Clap Jeff, you need to get some John Coltrane albums.

I know! And this is the only Miles Davis album I have Cry

Do you have any albums in mind?

I want to get Bitches Brew and Jack Johnson at some point.

Kind of Blue doesn't really blow me away, but I'm hopeful that his jazz rock output might.

Oh, I might have thought that you enjoyed Kind of Blue's tranquility.

Well, if you're going to get his jazz rock output, I think you should get first the "real" jazz rock that came after Miles' releases, like Mahavishnu Orchestra, Return to Forever, and so on.

Miles Davis' jazz rock releases are not albums that I would say that blow you away nor that they are easy to get into. Of course, you can buy them and might even like them at first listen, I'm just telling you this from personal experience.Wink

I might enjoy Kind of Blue over time.... I've only listened to it 4 or 5 times. Wink

Thanks for the recommendations Smile

^no problem.

I suspect that you'll love Return to Forever's Romantic Warrior and Mahavishnu's Orchestra's Birds of Fire. More so the former than the latter.

This is something I need to give more attention to. As is Greendale from the later period. Perhaps tomorrow, I'm in a serious Neil mood now, only too tired...
Apart from the track Change you Mind which just goes on and on, still good guitar in it thoughBig smile I really like the rest of the album. This one is where he started getting right in to the GrungeClapClapClap  Ragged Glory with Crazy Horse is a beauty. Greendale is pretty good tooThumbs Up Bit of a Neil fan as you may have noticedBig smile

Oh yes LOL From Neil's later era I really enjoy Freedom, Ragged Glory and Harvest Moon, they're all great. Wonder if those two make it to the same level with more listens Smile Starting the day with this one:
