Oh noes...my external hard drive might be dead. It's had no problems so far until today, but when I hooked it up to back up the new Cacophony of Light album it started clicking at me. I'm thinking I might have to get a new one soon.

Okay, I'm pretty pissed. I wrote an ethics case for my Managerial Cost Accounting class and received the assessment back today. She took off points from my vocabulary because apparently I have "awkward phrases and word choices".

That's always inconvenient. Ah well, as long as it wasn't too big of a point amount taken off, it's not too bad. Speaking of points, I should go do some work, I'll be back later.

Apparently, you listen to too much progressive rock music and its "awkward phrases and word choices".

Sorry dude... but you have to keep in mind that is not what you say but how you said it... that's the important thing... and maybe your teacher already have an idea of what she expected from the class... so... sorry dude, but next time ask her what is the right vocabulary that she wants or if she can explain you what is wrong from your vocabulary... lucky we have a lot of terms that means the same... so... don't get mad about it... at least she don't take too much points right...???

I suppose; it's just frustrating. I've had this happen, but it hasn't been since early high school and elementary school. I naturally talk a certain way which apparently a select few people take to be awkward. It's bullsh*t because I had a few other people read the essay and we even changed alot so that it could be 100% clear. Honestly, I don't know how I could make it more clear; it seems more like an excuse to be unnecessarily nitpicky. It appears I'll have to go out of my way to "dumb down" my writing.

See you soon! Well, I got a low B, and I thought the paper was at least good enough to receive a B+. I would have been content with an A. I don't mind teachers giving constructive criticism and taking off points where it seems necessary, but this just seems like an excuse to give someone a lower grade for a reason that's really not there. I guess I have no other option than to take it and work even harder on the next one.

On the plus side, Venetian Snares is sounding even better to me today; I must really be in the mood for it.
I think I'll do some composing too. It's nice to finally have a bit of free time amidst all the chaos of the last two weeks before spring break.

yeah... I get what you said. But look it this way... even I have to "dumb down" my articles for the magazine i work to... which is frustrating because when the people read it (more than 100,000 persons read it) they don't see nothing special, just average articles... and that really makes me mad... but, well... someday I will be editor and no one will correct my articles and suggest that I should use a "easier way" for people to read it...
As you said it... focus in compossiton man... I suppose no one will correct you in that right...???

Venetian Snares is good, although I need more. I also need more Squarepusher. And IDM in general.

Yeah, I know what you mean. And exactly. In the end, it's just schoolwork. And my composing is something infinitely more important to me on a completely different level. After this week, I think I deserve a day where I sit back and indulge in that.

That's the attitude man...!!! yeah... some people critizise me because I care more about the songwriting with my band than even my regular work... but at the end, just like you said, is a different level at all... In fact, we have like a month without composing... next rehearsal I will give a couple of ideas I have for a new song...!!!

Awesome. I've been working on an entirely new project lately and that's been a fun deviation from my normal work.

I just finished releasing an album with my main project earlier this month. With this other one... not sure when it'll be.
