It's pretty bad. For some reason the British eat up somebody saying something inappropriately sexual and OH MAN ISN'T THAT AWKWARD! The American Office has the same problem sometimes with confusing cringing with humor, particularly in the early seasons. |
I think Steve Carell pulls being awkward better. The American Office also has Jim and Dwight, who are a whole lot funnier than their British counterparts, I think I have laughed harder at a single facial expression of Jim's than I have at anything his British clone has done.

I also think I'm going to sleep once this album's over. What a way to end the night, with Traummaschine being my 2000th play on last.fm as well.

Not sure if congrats is the right thing, but it turned out to be a nice coincidence, a great track being on one of the #000th plays.

Great, just don't come to the Shred asking for your money back when you're finished

All my non-American pals said the British Office is better than the American Office. I've only seen episodes from the American one and found it sad, not funny. My life was just like that at the moment

They're both nice in their own way.

I had the same experience. The American one is in my favorite shows ever; the British one was eh.

I've only watched a couple of episodes of The Office (American) and found it to be not to my tastes. As with any show though, I think that it is a matter of getting to know the characters and their various quirks.

Yeah, you need to watch the episodes in order, and the first season is mainly just to introduce the audience to the characters. Season 2 onward is pure gold.

I couldn't make it through the first episode of the first season I thought it was so bad and I figured at that point it wasn't my type of show. Since then I've caught a few random episode here or there (captive audience) and wasn't really impressed. But again, I know that I was on the outside looking in at some inside jokes. I never liked Cheers either when it was out, but I started watching it every night once it was on reruns and the characters kind of grew on me. I can't say that it was a favorite of mine, but I did grow to enjoy it.

I will track each and every one of you down and force you to endure a Rush marathon from start to finish including live albums and DVDs.
I do like Acoustic Ladyland and Led Bib is listed as a similar artist on Last.FM.

That's understandable.

The Bad Plus are pretty cool. I like them. They do a jazz cover of Tom Sawyer.
