I am an expert in it, I don't have the position (nor will I get it), and as much as I think it would fit and that the Prog Electronic genre needs a total revamp... none of that will happen.

At least for the time being.

I don't know enough to have an opinion on that. The only Electronic artist I appreciate (a little little bit, sometimes) is Klaus Schulze.

The "Progressive Electronic" genre here is pretty much mainly "The Berlin School of Electronic Music and Anything That Sounds Like It".

It by no means represents actual progressive electronic music over the past 40-50 years. People would argue this is where you get the "prog rock" v. "progressive rock" arguments. Meh.

It's a shame. But oh well.

I hope I'll help to clear that Wink

Your enthusiasm is respectable.

I was so happy to become a collaborator, but it's for a genre I'm not passionate about at all, and I realized that my opinion means close to absolutely nothing anyway. So all my enthusiasm is long gone.

That is the problem with collaboration via internet, I have seen the same thing happen to gaming communities. Having other people to depend on has pros and cons.

I have simply become so amazed by the amount of inefficiency that I have perceived running all through our entire system.

The whole prog/progressive "rock" thing is so annoying. I have pretty much given up on those discussions.

Yeah, some people are so irrational and closed-minded.

I quit caring about what wasn't or was included the Archives a while ago though, for the most part.

I just enjoy whatever I listen to.

True

I just hate the fact that all the debates I've seen come down to semantics.

Yeah, that's part of the inefficiency that baffles me.

Yeah, that's part of the inefficiency that baffles me.

It is why I discuss music in the SR more than anywhere else. LOL

Yeah, we need our little nook. It is also home to more than one electronic fan.
