Synthesizers. Patches, oscillators, filters and stuff. Synth architectures, waveforms. Programming.
Math, mostly calculus and number theory. Have plenty of scrapbooks full of scribbles of my calculations and theories. Anyone can discover new (non-self-referential) constants, rules and sets of numbers even if they're trivial.
Literature. Any good book, but I prefer science fiction.
Reading and writing poetry ,published some poems, will do a book before summer.
Art in many forms. Prerafaelites. Art nouveau, both in paintings and in architecture. I can look at it for the whole day.
Some sciences: Philosophy, philology (languages in general), sociology, geography, astronomy. Nothing scholastic, only on a drinking-buddy level.
Philately.
Sex. Anytime, anywhere, anyhow. The more bizarre the better.
And perhaps my favourite: wondering around. Walking, driving my car, going from here to eternity, deciding to go somewhere out of the blue, in the middle of the night, showing up at strange places, towns, forests, coasts, mountains. Discovering paths and roads, even undergrounds.

I can show a mild interst in basically anything, but one of the things that really means nothing in my life is sport of any kind. Never.

Well, I did not dare to add that to my interests, but now that you mention it . And Jean and I have done some VERY bizzare things.

Music other than prog... My love for classical has come back with a vengeance and it actually has surpassed prog in terms of hours per week.
Literature. I always have to have a book to read. I'm not a book eater, I'm not a book-per-day guy, but a book-per-week would be a better description.
Psychology, strongly related with literature lately. I also go to school for that so...
Video games (I have all three consoles, enough said).
Sports? Not much on this country (I follow the NFL only partially, like the Dolphins and the Colts). I follow Spanish soccer... If I was in my country, my passion for my team would take this to a whole other level...
Movies... Not much of a movie goes but a movie-buyer... And classics and old movies as well as not-so-old...
One word: geek.

My first though was "other" for linguistics, which is seriously the field I would have gone into if I had not been such a sensible girl and gone into teaching ESL instead, because I figured it would be a simpler way to pay my bills. In my youthful, drifter era, design and arts were two of the things I studied, so I also voted for both classical art and modern art, as well as design and architecture. Oh course, music, duh. History and literature too, ideally if they're combined.

I don't like multiple vote polls, so I voted once for Math which is by far my favorite interest.

This poll is going very nicely indeed. It is good to see martial arts on the forum Atavachron! May I ask, would one consider archery (a true love of mine) a form of sport or a form of martial art?

I have a interest in psychology and current affairs, and cooking..mmm
I'm not formally qualified in any of these things, they just interest me. I read up on them, then spout my horrible opinions all over the web.
