LE: There is also other stuff that I like such as Koenjihyakkei,  Zu, Cheer-Accident, Shining, and of course SGM.

I couln't stand what I've heard of Shining.
Koenjihyakkei is brilliant, Zu is great. Haven't heard Cheer Accident.

You're listening to the wrong Shining.  Don't listen to the Swedish band of the same name or listen to Blackjazz, the latest album.

Try their third album.

Yet I prefer Western Culture which is pretty much a chamber prog album. LOL

Amazing album. Can't wait 'till Coyote is released; I'm planning on ordering it with In The L-L-L-Library Loft and DAwCT.

Cool, do that Thumbs Up Library Loft is definitely very interesting, I can't really say anything about Sixty Metonymies yet as I've listened to it just once. I did get a kick out of the mental image of it being played through the speakers of some supermarket with people being all WTF Tongue That goes for all Driver works, though.

Might listen to Anemone next Smile

I definitely need some more Driver stuff, I'll definitely check out Tartar Lamb one day
I've only heard the samples from Anemone, but they sounded good to me. Can't wait to check that one out.

This is apparently my seventh listen of Anemone, and at least the tracks Gemini Becoming the Tripod and ___ on Limpid Form are truly brilliant Heart It's the quieter songs I'm not that familiar with yet, but they feel like good stuff too.

We decided to first listen to all Kayo stuff chronologically and then all motW stuff Cool

Good idea!
motW is easily one of my top 10 bands ever, all amazing stuff. Bath is my favourite Toby Driver project by far, but they're all amazing.

What did you end up thinking of Blue Lambency Downward?

You know, "One of these Days" isn't a bad tune at all.  I've always enjoyed it.

Something my mate was listening to the other day though had almost the same bassline. LOL

I'm still undecided about that one, some days I like it a lot and some days it's rather meh. It's definitely one of the weirdest albums in my collection, we'll see how it goes down after Anemone Smile And Bath is totally brilliant Heart Still I might like Part the Second and Choirs a bit more.

Might that have been Clean by Depeche Mode? It's got very similar bass thing in the beginning.

BLD is my favourite Kayo Dot so far, absolutely brilliant imo. The first half seems a little bit aimless, although the last 3 tracks are absolutely amazing.

Anyway, I should really be getting off to bed now. See you guys later!

I used to love doing that, but nowadays I rather enjoy waking up around 9 or so. Must be getting old. Or just wise.
