That's closer to the truth.
But I'd replace "the best" by good. Only.

This one's for you, Jeff. Check this out

Wow, that sounds pretty cool.

Out of pure curiosity, are you a fan of Mr. Bungle? I've been getting into them lately.

Oh, you noticed the similarities? Tongue
Mr. Bungle is good. But definitely not among my favourite avant-gardiste bands.
You should try Naked City, too.

I keep thinking about trying out Naked City, but there's a bunch of stuff further up on my list (such as every single album Dan Swanö has ever been in. If you know anything about him, that's a LOT of CD's)Big smile

Yeah, I already knew you were a fanboy of Swanö WinkLOL

But, are you turning into an avant-garde fan?

Not really.

I've been LOVING Frank Zappa lately, especially his early stuff (Absolutely Free, We're Only In It For The Money, Uncle Meat). I've also been liking Mr. Bungle and I've been enjoying The Residents as well. I tend to like the more accessible avant music.

What would you say Naked City is like?

To me Naked City is similar to Mr. Bungle, but they venture into crazy avant jazz noise a lot. That is just what I hear though.

Two suggestions for you then.
- Rouge Ciel
- Miriodor

They're avant. They're awesome. They're accessible.

Naked City is like... Mad, quirky, jazz, experimental, hardcore, aggressive, soft.
It's unique.

Oh, I saw your light already. It's pretty dim. I'll take Univers Zero from the chamber genre and keep it where it belongs: between other great bands.

You can have the rest.

Like I've said before, I prefer the Jazziness of Henry Cow to chamber rock.

At least, you love the best. And Magma.
After that, you'll love Present and Dün.
Then will come lots of other.

^ I know Dun and I like Eros quite a lot. Present bored me with the latest; it was good but nothing special. I don't know whether I'll try something else from them.

LE: There is also other stuff that I like such as Koenjihyakkei,  Zu, Cheer-Accident, Shining, and of course SGM.

And if anybody was feeling tempted to download Tiberian Sun for free, it's pretty much what Red Alert would be if Red Alert were 10 times clunkier.

J, there's lots of Naked City on Youtube, but as compared to Mr Bungle I would describe it as much more avant and jazz based (and better).
