Alright, we're almost halfway through the month of February and it is now time to see which song from this month's featured album Whispers and Screams from Shadow Circus is your favorite. If you haven't heard the album yet, then first off, what is wrong with you? It is streaming for free here on PA as well as on the band's website. Second off, there are still a couple of days left for you to purchase the album directly from the band on their website, and have the proceeds go to help the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
Anyhow, let us know what you think. And if you would like to discuss your thoughts and feelings about the album more, then drop on by this month's discussion thread.

Project Blue as an entirety would most likely win this poll, but breaking it up into its 7 parts makes the choice far more difficult. I'd say that there are probably 4 front-runners for me, but I'm not sure which one gets my vote yet either. |

Alright, I finished listening to the album again and I've decided to cast my vote for Willoughby. I have a feeling that the companion video that John posted in the other thread had the strongest influence in making this song my top pick. I think that it is a pretty strong album from start to finish. A track like Angel is kind of weak by prog standards, but is also the sort of song that should be played every hour on the hour by commercial radio stations. It is the song that should make these guys super stars. My other favorites are The Long Road Home, The Horsemen Ride, and Then In July, The Thunder Came. My choice would likely be "Captain Trips" or "Angel," but I'm still unsure.

I have heard the album three times, but I'm still not sure about my favourite. Its one of these:
Captain Trips, The Long Road Home, The Horsemen Ride, The Hand of God or Willoughby.
I postpone my vote.

I really like The Horsemen Ride a lot. I love the percussion on this one. It is probably my second favorite song from the album.

Willoughby is my single favorite track on the album, followed by Angel and Captain Trips. The Project Blue suite as a whole is my favorite song off the album.

I've never heard the album but my favourite track just from the name is "Then In July The Thunder Came...." Just by the name I get the impression of a thunderous interpretation of a Bolero classic in the true spirit of glorious seventies artrock. I would have put this at the end as a grand finale. My second choice, again from the name alone, would have to be "The Horsemen Ride". It suggests a beckoning unknown. And a fearless desire confront it using a metaphorical forboding crescendo that fuses eastern and western stylings. It is one of the finest recent albums that I haven't heard yet.
I would recommend reading Stephen King's The Stand which I hadn't read before not hearing Whispers & Screams. |

Mine is definitely Willoughby, with Coming Back Home To You in tight second. Hard to choose, but those are the standouts for me.

After listening to the album again, I must amend my thought on Angel, it is a solid Prog Rock ballad/song. I still think that it is the song that all of the radio stations should be playing; well that and Horsemen Ride, because that one is so cool. Willoughby is still my favorite, but will just have to save that one for us proggers as it is too long for radio stations. |

Had to force a tie-break yet. I vote for The Hand of God.
