Yeah, I will admit (and I usually never would say this) the Colts DEFENSE is pretty good, for once. Probably better than hey get credit for, outside those 2 DE's, but I would be surprised if they can hold the Saints low.

And the Saints D is deff one of the best. Look at what they've done all year, and to the Vikings O-Line

I'm not calling a blowout, but I really see an Indy win as a long shot.

We shall see, here's for the Saints

I'd like to see ANY quarterback in the league take the EXACT same hits that Favre took in that game and see how they perform.  The guy had a phenom year for a supposedly "washed up" player.  I hope we get him back again and make some improvements on the line.  If he can be protected from what the Saints did, I'll give him another shot.

Well, the Colts sucked, Manning was eliminated during an hour, Brees played the perfect game and the Saints coach had the balls. Good for NO. They were the better team. By far

Well, I thought the Saints would win and it would NOT be a blowout.

HUZZAH!

Now, I dont really care...but cmon gotta feel good for the Saints.
Also, while Peyton IS the QB of our generation I always though the Colts had their flaws.
Like.....never running the ball, NEVER milking the clock, and anyone notice how the Colts seem to run the same FOUR plays over and over? Like seriously.

That guy who picked him just stepped in front of the route at the last second.

Ah well, feel good for Brees, Pierre Thomas and the Saints with their first ever super bowl!

Yeah, pretty hard to argue with that performance.  Congrats to them.  And the city.

Very un-Manning actually, killing the chance like that.  Was expecting him to go down and tie it up.

I agree. I didn't expect him to blow the game the same way Favre did. But congrats to the Saints and the city of New Orleans. After what's happened in the past few years, they deserve it.

Saints earned the win though, especially in the second half.  Brees was at his best when it counted.

Now I know why I do not bet $$ on the games!  Congrats to the Saints, I didn't think they could do it.
Can you tell me where we're headin'?
Lincoln County Road or Armageddon.

Yeah, my friend that was OH SO ARROGANT about the Colts being superior and the Saints Defense beign abysmal just lost $50.
I knew not being a betting man was the right way to go! Even though I would've put it on the winning team it turns out!

Also, I know it is truly his life, and he is very intense....but does anyone else think Peyton is a huge baby at times...
Also, why did PEYTON blow the game???
I think that cornerback jumped the route pretty damn well. After all, it was bound to happen after you run the same few plays all game. I also read once that the Colts receivers stay on their respective sides of the field almost always.

For the QB of our generation the Colts run a simple offense Wacko

Saw the SB the Colts happen to adopt the Steelers  2009  season formula: They play good the first half and the other half the sucked all the way.

I can't believe that wayne was literaly erased in the field and when the opportunity happens, they miss that crucial ball, at times i tend to think that the colts was very confidence and subestimate the NO team.

Well... congrats to NO and Brees.

The city deserves the championship.

What a game!! My house was a rockin' last night...That's a Super Bowl win!!! I thought the Saints would win, I mean come on the highest scoring offense of the league...but never did I think it would be by 14 points! Boy there are some upset people in Las Vegas last night.
Anyhow the city is back...thanks in part to the New Orleans Saints!!

Geaux Saints!

I was horrible at predicting the outcome of the playoffs, granted I did have a bias towards Dallas and chose the Saints to lose at every opportunity they had.  Usually, I'm a lot better because the games concern teams I'm apathetic about.

Anyways, this Super Bowl was a really exciting one down to just a couple minutes left in the fourth.  Manning looked a little (the dude is near perfect) off his game and made a couple poor decisions but his receivers also dropped the ball (no pun intended).

The Saints, even though I dislike them, played an incredible 2nd half.  Onside kick to start? WOW!!! Sean Payton earned my respect.

Now comes the 8th month hiatus and I'm sad :(

P.S. Anyone also hate Phil Simms?  That dude is an idiot.  That's why I watch all games on CBS on mute.

Yeah, the guy definitely has a brass pair to call that one, of course he looks really great since they recovered.  Wink

The on-side kick at the start of the second half was the perfect example of "hipnotize while you mezmorize"
That pick that won it for NO was no "happenstance"  He played it.

Good Job  New Orleans Saints  2009 NFL Champions!
