NoAlex, Skoda's are very common in the UK - even our police use them:

...oh and around were I live, they use them as unmarked police cars.
What?

We love our car. It's a lovely looking hatchback blessed with German engineering (diesel), good ergonomic interior (a lot of space) and a great price (probably the best quality/price ratio in its category). We love her so much that we take it everywhere.

Here's me, seen through its side mirror, taking pictures of a Transylvanian fortress up on a hill:

5 minutes before the previous pic, in strong sunlight:

Transylvanian winter; now I am in a fortress up on a hill:

Same day, same place:

I love that sexy bottom! Embarrassed

Enjoying a Wallachian sight:

Climbing a small mountain for a recluse monastery of an ancient Wallachian king:

Enjoying the last rays of a falling sun over a Wallachian lake / taking refuge under a mountain:

In the parking, at the entrance in the Barbizon Forest; I loved the complementary contrast of green and red.

A beautiful morning in Normandy:

The best thing about our car, though, is its driver

Heart

So, can anyone guess what car it is? Wink

In case you don't see my post in the Peter Gabriel thread, he is apparently on The One Show at 7pm tonight. Presumably the new album will be the main topic of conversation, unless he's also had an affair with Wayne Bridge's ex.

Or you could go for FRED-1 (although Bernard Cribbins might have used that one already).

Our C-Max is a good all rounder - plenty of room for everything you need + all that stuff you don't but may come in handy - capacious boot (which if you can be arsed turns cavernous if you take the rear seats out); Also, it's never really caught on, so they're pretty cheap 2nd hand - stupid really, as they're effectively just a fat Ford Focus, so have all the Focus's grip in the wet, great brakes & suspension & (apparently, according ot one of our more petrol minded friends) one of the best chassis on the market...

...still won't clean itself though!

My clapped out Peugeot 206 needs its handbrake sorting out - yet another in an ever increasing list of minor repairs that the piece of Censored has needed since about 30 seconds after the warranty ran out. Steve, I for one am jealous of that snazzy green Omega estate!

Ferrari or Lambo?

Our "new" car (the hire car which took so long to get to temorarily replace our car whilst being repaired) finally arrived last Wednesday and the engine blew this morning when my wife started it up. Back to the drawing board...

Our cats are very wary of the two buzzards that share their hunting ground in the fields that back on to our garden - and quite rightly so as two of our cats are small enough to look like lunch.

yes our tabby was curious but mostly stays away from hawks, he's keen to chase the neighborhood skunks (though he got sprayed last year  Dead )

We had a similar incident in our garden a couple of years ago - glanced out of our back window & it looked like it was snowing feathers; looked in the garden & a sparrowhawk had taken out a huge pigeon & was happily plucking its remains in the garden.

Our cats contented themselves with watching from an upstairs window.
