Just read in the latest edition of Prog magazine that Roger Dean has been asked to design the cover for the new Yes CD. No other details apart from that, but it sounds promising.

In a interview in the French Prog-Mania web forum, Alan White had says this : " Were working individually on some new songs and after that we will work together for something new."

Dean has done numerous covers for Yes compilations of course. Apart from Alan White's comment, is there any definite news on new Yes recordings? If so, perhaps Anderson and/or Wakeman will be involved. if I recall correctly, it was just the touring Rick said he did not want to participate in.

There's nothing definite and Dean doesn't say if Anderson is on the CD or not. He does also mention that a Japanese company called Disk Union are producing "a couple of box set of Yes product" including Yessongs "as it was originally designed" (i.e. a full booklet cover).

He's saying that the thread lasted for 5 posts before I 'hijacked' it with my anti-Yes hate-speech.

They clearly want to start with the cover, then focus on the music.

or

They just want to book Roger Dean for the next 10 years, just in case.

I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

Right now, the band that is working on the new cd, is the same as the one who is touring. No Jon Anderson and no Rick Wakeman.

We're seeing yes in DC next Saturday, and looking forward to it! Last summer we had just a taste of them, since their performance was interrupted by the mother of all thunderstormsUnhappy.

Drama showed that Yes can create an excellent album without Jon Anderson or Rick Wakeman.

I've always considered Chris Squire to be "behind the scenes" spirit of Yes, as it were, and I like most of what he does (I even enjoy his work with Sherwood on the side).

It just strikes me as odd that people would pass up a potentially great album just because the band is using the name Yes.  Ermm
