Listening to the sample in that link now. Once again, too avanty.

Oh Joel why don't you buy Torngat's La petite Nicole?

Something by Deep Purple or Frank Zappa, now go and buy!Stern Smile

....Embarrassed oh and yeah, hello guys, it's been a long while since I last passed by through here.

Pablo, you no come here no mo

I think I'll get Absolutely Free or We're Only In It For The Money by Zappa, haven't liked anything I've heard by Deep Purple.

The Deep Purple recommendation is my usual recommendation joke since most of the people here in SR barely heard anything by them and really don't want toLOL.(don't take it in the negative way)

From Zappa, it seems you're really getting into the early Mothers stuff, which is the only part from Zappa I'm not that fond of.
My usual Zappa recommendation is the incredible live album, Roxy & Elsewhere and Zappa in New York, both outstanding live performances with Zappa at his best as a composer, guitarist and humorist. The rest of the band is top-notch.

Then go for Zappa or Mogwai.

Also, the Rouge Ciel track is nice. It reminds me of Etron Fou Leloublan, except less playful.

I've decided on either:

We're Only In It For The Money, Absolutely Free or Weasels Ripped My Flesh!

Gah.  Don't by Zappa.

Try those Rock Bottom samples again.

Besides, samples simply won't work.  You need to hear the whole album.

Oh and Rouge Ciel are awesome and not that avant-prog (but that's because I've listened to a lot of avant-prog and Rouge Ciel are easy listening for me).

Found it on eBay for a little over 10$ inc. postage, done!

And I shall also buy Absolutely Free because I'm in a spendy mood.

Well I have (or had) the single disc usual version but my brother borrowed it and I've not seen it since.  My work gave me a £10.00 voucher for HMV so I used that to buy it... so I got it for £2.00. Big smile

I haven't heard a whole Canterbury album yet, although I like the title track from Caravan's In The Land Of Grey A Pink

Yes, four stars stuff. Very good Post-Rock.
I'd don't think you'll see them soon... They almost don't even tour here in Québec. sometimes they go to other canadian provinces.

I've never felt that impulse. Yes, the soloing on the alternate takes is probably different, but it's still the same song. I'd rather listen to different songs.
