I've never really listened to much of either, although I have liked most of the Amon Duul II stuff I've heard.

I started off kinda slow into the genres, but Krautrock especially has grabbed me with no plans of ever letting go.

I've heard some Kraftwerk, although I didn't really get it at all. Thats basically all I know of Progressive electronic.

I'm not as big of a fan of Kraftwerk as a lot of the other fans of Electronic seem to be, I'm more into the Tangerine Dream/Klaus Schulze/Edgar Froese style.

Electronic may be the best musical genre known to man. Well, either that or jazz.

I'd have to respectfully disagree and put forth Krautrock in place of Electronic.  RIO/Avant-Prog are really catching me as well lately, and of course Zeuhl, but there's just something about Krautrock that really grabs me.
