Not emo, but youtubes of Okkyung Lee or Last Exit or something.

I can't find any good videos of Okkyung Lee on youtube, only that one he's posted a few times.

I've actually been feeling a deep, almost metaphysical compulsion to play noise, actually. I've been looking into circuit bending, it seems like fun.

Just did today. Really impressive.
The first thirty seconds of each song on Tri Repetae were impressive, but after that I wanted to turn it off. I guess the name should have tipped me off to what was inside...

I actually have become increasingly opposed to recreational drug use of any kind, I suspect in a subconscious move to alienate me from society entirely.

I actually was a mod somewhere else, and that was when I was even more emo, but sadly it was never that easy. I left because holy crap it was annoying.

If you want to alienate yourself there's always dissociatives. WinkLOL

Circuit bending looks interesting.

Come to think of it I have done some very basic circuit bending in my electronics class. We made these AM/FM radios, and I found a way to create this high pitched squealing noise by touching some solder pads together with a small screwdriver. I used to do that or listen to the radio all day. It took most of the class a couple months to "tune" the radios. LOL There was a good oldies station nearby...

Although I'm not sure I have the patience for it, to be honest. :P Maybe I'll just get a microphone and an amp and feedback away. ;-)

One funny thing is that people keep talking about NEVER BEND SOMETHING THAT IS PLUGGED IN! Even in the Youtube videos. See, now I would think that would be obvious.

I can understand the enjoyment of creating noise, it's just that it loses some entertaining value if you are present, i guess.

The results are far from shocking. Oh wait, no they aren't. LOL

You just reminded me of how I used to play with the Operation game board, if would buzz if you touch it to the metal stuff on the back. I used to do that for the longest time.

Lol, buzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I recall listening to a sample of Death Ambient, but I assume I didn't like it since it has ambient in the title.

Man circuit bending seems like a lot of work, I don't want to have to learn things.
