She's just getting noticeably bigger, starting to smile, starting to babble a bit- that sort of thing.

I'm afraid to blink because if I do, she'll be trying to sneak out of the house wearing clothes I disapprove of and yelling that she hates me after she gets caught.

I'm actually more concerned that my son grows to be young man that is respectful to women.

I look around and I'm always asking myself, "What the hell is wrong with kids these days?"

Yeah... I know... and it's strange because that's what our grandparents say... but we are just less than 10 years ahead of the teens and they are just too different and indiferent to anything... crisis of values... that's it... but I think it's education... you will make him a respectful guy... with you own example right...???

Oh sorry, I read it like he would already shown signs of growing like that, not that he needs to.

In that case, true. LOL

My best friends have girls in kindergarden and they told me boys are very aggresive, verbally and physically too. I don't know much because I didn't go to kindergarden, I spent most of my early years with my grandparents.

Also, when I was a teenager, I grew up with the TV and its values; I thought girls were nothing more than sexual objects and I treated them accordingly. (Of course, I have changed completely in the meantime.)

Maybe Rob is thinking of one of these two aspects.

The affects of outside influence and lack of discipline are pretty outrageous.  I feel for good parents trying to cope in this environment.  And I have so much respect for those who make the effort to counter this crap that is out there.

but it's not only in the children... I have went out with the singer of my band, she is only 17 and is very sad to see teens been very disrespectful and girls aloud guys to treat them bad... I remember that my girl-friends never aloud us to be disrespectful... we were not good behave but they really put us in our place when we were too far... nowadays it's the opposite... the girls aloud them to do whatever they want with them...
