There may be metal vocals (including some restrained growls), I hope they don't put you off Rico.

Mmmm.

Miyako Kanazawa is awesome.  Her keyboard work is just superb on Angherr Shisspa and both Le Silo albums. Big smile

David, you have the physical CD of Of Natural History, right? That's one of the few cases where having it is integral to understanding the album. Unfortunately, In Glorious Times just had artwork, which makes sense since it's in tribute to Nils' brother who died and also did a lot of the art for the first two, but the lack of crazy pamphlet writing makes it a lot less entertaining.

I don't unfortunately. I just downloaded it off of Amazon or some similar website I think. I'd like to get CD versions for all my mp3 music someday though.

Even though I don't really like Meshuggah, I was surprised to see they didn't have any (legal) live recordings available yet.

That is one that I will probably have to pass on.

Henry likes stanky avant-garde and free jazz.

Oh! And I forgot, Miley Cyrus!

Ah, you shouldn't have. It's hard for me to ever recommend rebuying something, especially if you don't even like the music, but the insert is amazing. As you probably already know, it's a 6 (CD size) page tribute to the Unabomber, and it's hard to really get into the lyrics without seeing why it is they feel this despair. Or at least somewhat feel, I think if they really bought into the Unabomber's ideals they wouldn't be a band, much less a band that uses electric instruments. But that obviously won't help you if you don't like the music itself.

I'm not aka Captain Obvious for nothing.

This is for Joel, but when it comes to Meshuggah live albums, I think that Less is More.

Ooh! My beat is rising, with 10 minutes to go before I load it in the playlist.

They're always problematic, depends how they appear, to what connection with the rest and with what purpose as a momentum.

But basically they'll be problematic. Even the Naked City miniatures didn't do well, and I was open-minded about hearing that.
