Hmm, Make a Jazz Noise Here or YCDTOSA2?  (both eventually, of course, but which should I get first?)

I too need more Zappa.

Do any of his other albums have a similar sound or style to Hot Rats?

The closest I've heard so far are Grand Wazoo and Waka/Jawaka.  They're not quite the same, though they're some excellent (top-notch, I'd say) material, and still very much jazz oriented.

I'm listening to some tracks off those, and I really quite like them Perhaps I'll go for one of those next.

I'm not sure which I enjoy more, I've listened to Grand Wazoo more though.  They're both worthy additions to a Zappa collection, though.

I know two Zappa songs

As I recall, I know one Zappa song.  The other is an instrumental.

I used to think that song was bad for some reason until I heard it on Hot Rats

The big problem with saving my CDs to my computer is that I want to listen to each CD while I am doing it, but I am currently listening to a different CD on my home stereo.  LTE on the home stereo, but Deadwing loading on to the laptop.

I figured that Myung for Levin was kind of a wash.

"Watermelon in Easter Hay"  (excellent work)

and

"Bobby Brown"

I played the latter for my mom and dad (amused by the title, since many people call my old man "Bobby").  How embarassed was I...and I didn't even know what golden showers were at the time.  Confused

Yeah, I hadn't even heard it first.  I just saw the title and played it for them.  Embarrassed

That sounds like something that would happen on the "Good Idea/Bad Idea" sketch from Animaniacs. LOL
