Sorry I missed you Joel. My kid pooped in his pants.
Anyway, I have time for this website because my work involves me sitting at a computer all day.

Back in action... the cold is still there... I have to take some pictures of teenagers on their first day at school... I'm so excited about it....

I used to have it, but now I don't. Oh, what would be a good first Ruins album? I've heard their stuff here on PA and some on Youtube for long enough and still don't have any albums.

I have heard that Hyderomastgroningem is a good album, but I too still don't have any Ruins. Last.fm keeps on recommending them to me.

Yeah, last.fm has some tracks from Hyderomastgroningem for me to listen to, I may just have to do that.

Well I'm about through with my first listen of Big Big train's 2009 album.
One song on the album is phenomenal. Everything else I can completely do without- I really don't see what is so marvelous about this album (so many other sites are hailing it as one of the greatest progressive rock albums ever and certainly album of the year for 2009).
We'll see what additional listens in the days to come yield.

I think I'll have to look further into Memory Tapes, Alex turned me on to him.

That was odd, I tried to change the time offset on the forum because it is one hour behind, and I have tried it before and it told me something about not having permission, but this time it worked.

WHOA. Last.fm really needs to clear up the different artists named One Shot.

Right now Vanden Plas is the artist that Last.FM irks me with. Half of my plays are listed as Vanden Plas and half of them are listed as The Vanden Plas. One is a good prog metal band and the other is like a folk duo or something.

Sometimes one song doth an awesome album make. | Tarkus is a case in point, but "Tarkus" is over 20 minutes long. (And most of the other tracks aren't that bad either).

There's only one entry for One Shot; it holds only a description of a French hip-hop collective, and mentions nothing about the French jazz/fusion band. Yet the artist is tagged with appropriate tags for each.
