Not heard them.

They have a terrible band name too.  I cannot take them seriously therefore.

No. Sorry. Embarrassed

It only works with "it is" not "is it".

Evening Person.

So Rob's listening to UZ.

Discuss.

I listened to 1313 before class, and then I started listening to Duck Stab. I still have The Laughing Song stuck in my head.

The only thing that I don't like about UZ is that it's hard to distinguish between songs, they all sound somewhat similar.

That's the fault of that style of music really, not UZ itself.

Duck Stab is an incredibly good album, but I typically need to be in the mood for the Residents (which is about 40%ish of the time). The Laughing Song is also great.

A song is a metrical composition.

Songs are typically for a solo singer, though they may also be in the form of a duet, trio, or composition involving more voices. See part song. (Works with more than one voice to a part, however, are considered choral.) Songs can be broadly divided into many different forms, depending on the criteria used. One division is between "art songs", "pop songs", and "folk songs". Other common methods of classification are by purpose (sacred vs secular), by style (dance, ballad, Lied, etc), or by time of origin (Renaissance, Contemporary, etc).

A song is a piece of music for accompanied or unaccompanied voice or voices or, "the act or art of singing," but the term is generally not used for large vocal forms including opera and oratorio[1]. However, the term is "often found in various figurative and transferred sense (e.g. for the lyrical second subject of a sonata...)."[1] The word "song" has the same etymological root as the verb "to sing" and the OED defines the word to mean "that which is sung"[2].

I like the music itself, it's just that I have to actively listen to it to appreciate it, if I am concentrating on something else it all blends together.

I interchange them because I listen to both pieces/tracks and songs; a bad habit of mine. Embarrassed

I still LOL at songs from that album, especially that song.

Shame on you Matt; you are the only person in the history of PA to make that incorrect interchange.
