I mean... the music to Comus is quite upbeat but the lyrics and the compostions are "dark".

"The Herald" is, I know that music is upbeat, but in a twisted, raw, tribal sense. The vocals add a lot too.

I mean, I'm more likely to be "stirred" by Shub-Niggurath or Univers Zéro than Comus.  'cause they're dark in a different way.

Try Agalloch or even Gwynbleidd for stuff that's darker than this.

Gosh, this isn't remotely dark.

Those who think it is, need their head examining. LOL

El Campensino is definitely not sad or gloomy in any way.

Eric Satie's Gymnopedie pieces are "darker" than this in a melancholy way.

I'd also say Moonlight Sonata is too.

Fantastic news.

Now you better like it over all other Koenjihyakkei albums. Wink

Rattims Friezz is amazing.  I adore that track.

Wammilica Iffirom is also epic.

The closest thing to that I have is The Morningside, which is more Nature/Folk Doom

A band I have yet to check out, actually.  Speaking of which, I checked my MySpace account earlier and had a message from Dave Stewart and Barbara Gaskin. Big smile

Well, I can't compare because it's the only album I have. Nivraym is already ordered and will arrive soon.
All the songs I've heard sounded amazing.
I'm starting the album RIGHT now Smile
