Hmmmmm - another thread seems to be descending into alcohol related filth........

I think my best experience at Tate Modern was going into one of the smaller gallery spaces from one end & a woman coming in from the other - the exhibit was a fluorescent strip light on one wall.......but at an angle!! - we caught each other's eye & just burst out laughing.

I'm sure the 'artist' was sincere, but sometimes I do wonder - perhaps laughter is the reaction he/she was looking for

Hmm art...

I don't really like realistic art, i'm more into some abstract forms of art...
But there's a french guy called Gustave Courbet (1819 - 1877) who made some great art...We have 2 Originals in our museum in Frankfurt, i liked it.

Gustave Courbet - The Wave (translated)

But one of my hobbies is "digital art" I'm a noob in using photoshop and it's not professional but I sometimes, when I have the time, take some images or photos from the Net, or make my own and mess with them in Photoshop...sometimes the result is very good, for a non-professional like me .

So diddy, You could take the picture of Jim off the Rogues Gallery and make him look like Johnny Depp?

I think his wife would appreciate that.

Haha, I'm not very talented in those things, too realistic! I can't deal with faces, sometimes but the results are very bad, I rather do what comes into my mind...i'm not good in handling defaults  but I often try and ruefully shipwreck...

I can give you an example. I wanted to mock a friend because of his nickname (he uses Spacefrog ) and the result had nothing to do with my default to mock him, it was one big experimentation...

As I said, when I do experiments I may have results like this, but with a default or goal...it may be a good result but often has nothing to do with my aim
a good explanation could be: I no longer know how I made it
and refered to professionals working with Photoshop that is NOTHING believe me...

I understand now diddy you work as an autodidact in a intuitive way, right ?

It's very close to the way we all have to approach music

That's right...but I'm not able to play any instrument  and now, i'm nearly 19 years old I think it's too late to learn some (Money, Time ---> A-Levels or Abitur in german) so I used Photoshop to express myself artistically

...and now I have to got to do some sport(s), where's my time, where is it?

Hi again,
after we talked about art I had an inspiration  I wanted to make something more realistic but I was listening to Unfold the Future by The Flower Kings and was searching for some fotos to mess with in Photoshop and there was this car and I got the Idea, now, FIRST time I did something that was "planned"  First time the result looked like it should. I hpe you can see, that the car is flying  ...I hope...

And then, some days before I tryed to give me a kind of timelimit and wanted to see what comes out after 30 min. and here it is, very ...very 30 min. like

Hope you like it...

I once was in the Miro-museum (FANTASTIC!), in Barcelona, for a schooltrip and there also was a section with works from other artists. There was a video from a woman who was sucking on her toe. One of the teachers said: "Very erotic!" And that was so true!
