THE GODDESS OF DARKNESS Ars Nova
http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=122 the track listing (and probably also the bonus track) seem to belong to the Japanese edition of 1996. This edition needs another front cover picture! The picture is at http://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/ars_nova/the_goddess_of_darkness_f1/ http://www.proggnosis.com/PGRelease.asp?RID=53 can there be a second front cover picture here???? please change track listing to Musea France issue: 1. Kali - Demolition & Massacre (9:21) 2. Fury - The Daughter & The Simoon, After The Simoon (4:24) 3. Morgan - The Fate Awaits Inevitable (11:41) 4. Isis - She Wakes The Dead (4:41) 5. The Gorgons - Never Look At Her Eyes (10:30) Total Time: 40:37 Japanese issue: - - - - - - - and here comes the track listing which is already there - - - - - please replace releases with CD Made in Japan MJC-1014 (1996)(alternate front cover) CD Musea FGBG 4196.AR (1996) sources http://www.discogs.com/Ars-Nova-The-Goddess-Of-Darkness/release/560603 http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00004UTEY/rateyourmu08f-21/ref=nosim/ http://www.batini.com/_scripts/blpgmloader.php?pgm=10367&blpage=anjp http://www.proggnosis.com/PGRelease.asp?RID=53 (remark: I couldn't find any hints of a re-issue or the bonus track on the Internet, except that Amazon and answers.com mention Musea 2000 or 2002. But since the bonus track is linked to Japan, there could also be a Japanese re-issue. Couldn't resolve that one yet, sorry.) Edited by tendst - January 02 2010 at 13:10 |

Looks like our good friends at rateyourmusic have gotten this one a tad wrong as well.
The original release of this one is Japanese, which may or may not have been a dual release in collaboration with Musea of the same kind that Musea have had ongoing for several years with Poseidon now (those are marked with both Poseidon and Musea on the sleeve) The bonus track is from a reissue in 2006 - masterworks series ;-) Whether or not the local Japanese artwork or the worldwide Musea one should be displayed here is up to the E&O team - but the 5-track tracklisting is the original one for this production from what I can gather. As we're not trying to be RYM or discogs I doubt that we'll add in all the different versions of the album in the database. Original tracklisting is most important, then it's a question of what cover art makes the most sense in using ;-) |

...right. just take what you think makes sense for the website.
obviously, here in Europe the Musea edition is the common one, not the Japanese original. I was confused by the tracks of the Japanese version. One track, 04 Ainsel (5:23), isn't even there in the Musea version, but is replaced by 04 Isis (4:41). At least that may be worth a mention! tendst |

Hmmm, looks like there's two alternate versions there yeah - different tracks and tracklisting on Japanese edition. Weird...

Thanks, done.
I only changed Release info: CD Made in Japan MJC-1014 (1996) CD Musea FGBG 4196.AR (1996) (alternate front cover) If in this case we consider Japanese version as original and use its cover, I think Musea version is alternate. I've sent a PM to DamoX and asked him to help us to sort out ARS NOVA editions.
