I saw this article on CNN.  http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/10/26/child.prostitution/index.html  Not a pleasant thought, but if this was what happened to Amber, than there is hope that law enforcement could do something to help her.

^ Thanks for that.  I am glad the FBI is making such an effort. Human trafficking is becoming bigger than drugs.  Sunday was a tough day for this family as we held a pot luck birthday "party" for Amber at a park in Escondido.  As Amber's mom asked I wonder if Amber even knows it is her birthday. Stacy bought some presents to be held until Amber returns.  The Family members then lit 14 candles with one large candle resting on the ground to signify her 15th.

Man, I imagine what you and your family is passing... I'be praying for her... I'm sure somebody above us is watching for us and I know you'll found the right path... My bests desires are with you... Hug don't loose faith... Soon... very soon...

Today marks ten months since Amber was disappearedon Friday Feb 13, 2009. Cry

Amber is on the cover of People magazine this week in a feature on missing persons.  Her story is on page 67. When you see her when your in line at the store think of good thoughts for her.

Let's hope this bit of publicity helps in some way.  Another young girl on the cover is from a small town here in Washington, who literally disappeared while walking home this past summer.

I was standing in line at Target and happened to see the People Magazine with the cover about missing children and noticed that Amber was on the cover.  I had missed your post telling us that she was on the cover.  It really saddens to heart to realize that there are so many idiots out there preying on children.

Actually I can't count.  It was nine months but now we are just 12 days away from 10 months. Even still it just goes on.  Another Holiday comes and goes without her and the trail grows colder still. Cry

My prayers are with you and your family, and though this is, and has been, such a difficult time for your family, I wish you and your family holiday blessings.

Amber is never far from our thoughts... especially on days like these when there is so much to be thankful for in our own selfish personal lives.

Thanks Micky.  Stacy's family gathers on Christmas Eve so that was a just a bit hard that night since it was again at our house.  The last time we, Stacy and I, saw Amber was Christmas Eve last year.  Very rough at times. We still found things to make us smile and laugh including a play put on by Amber's sister and Stacy's daughters. I got to be, for the first time in my life, a wise man.  Then there was us announcing our engagement although at our age not sure how big that is.  Then of course a little wine to dull the emotions.
Christmas day was a breeze as it was just us and the kids.  Opened gifts and then watched movies.  Hope everyone's holiday was good for them,. Including Amber.

I also was thinking of you (and Amber) during Christmas.  I had the good fortune to have my daughter visiting over the holidays.  I'll admit to have often taken my children for granted, as I'm sure many of us have.  I did not do so this year.

At this time of the year, it is absolutely right that we all spare a few thoughts for Amber and the family.

Every time I check this thread I hope for good news. Amber is one of my favourite gems; I find it much more beautiful and interesting than diamond. Being an agnostic, I have no prayers to include you or Amber in. I only wish that the new year will bring her back safe and sound. Stranger things have happened, so don’t lose heart! There’s still hope, and our hearts go out to you.
He say nothing is quite what it seems;
I say nothing is nothing
