I live about two or three kilometres away from this place, what a fun way to end the year...

This idiot of gunman does not know how to celebrate New Year's Eve ...

Yes, yes, this one. Astra, Queen Elephantine, Sula Bassana, Ozric Tentacles, Causa Sui - just to name the albums that made it in my top. Beiruth, Quantum Fantay, Taipuva close by. Assemble Head In Sunburst Sound have this deficiency in expression, although pounding hard instrumentally, nevertheless cool enough. Siddharta, The Movements, Oresund Space Collective, The Warlocks were ok, Vespero could have been better, Bardo Pond has released a lot, out of which Volume VII is the stand-out, and the rest are progressively weaker.

That leaves Eloy, which frankly stinks. LOL Koroi Orom and The Syn were pretty much below average themselves.

BTW, exactly while I was typing "good morning", the singer on the album I'm now listening shouted "gooooddd moooooorniiiin'" LOL

I think I will listen to Astra today.

Now there's a band with great music and lousy production.

Haven't managed to listen to more than that.

I do remember listening to almost all of them in one day, though. Wacko

The sound and instrumentation is rather deliciously raw and retro, if that's what you mean.

If things work out like they did when my wife was a child, our daughter will get called both.

My wife is Tasha Nichole, and her family would use either name.

I actually named both our children.  I chose their names based on their meaning and now that they sound "cute."  Ermm

See, I would disagree slightly.  The Decemberists sound raw and retro but don't sound bad.  Astra just sounds terribly muddy.

Doesn't really ruin the music for me though (hell, I love Nursery Cryme).

I didn't imply cuteness. I meant Sophia is a wonderful and beautiful name, in my books.

The meaning of names (if they could extend beyond religious meanings, even better) is a good perspective, then again second and third names tend to don't weigh as much. Except the fact that I'm getting a book as a present when the saint is celebrated, I would question what difference does it make that I'm also an Andrew, when few hardly know, and no one adresses me that way. Ermm
