I'm making my top 10 of 2009 list now. I guage it will be vastly different from the other's I've seen.
You all will probably be surprised.
I'm going to be (re?)listening to the following to see if they'll get a place:
Stendeck - Sonnambula
Susumu Yokota - Mother
Current 93 - Aleph at Hallucinatory Mountain
Super Minerals - Clusters
Memory Tapes - Seek Magic (it's probably going in there, just not sure where)
Whisp - The Shimmering Hour
William Basinski - 92982
And others. It's probably going to have a good amount of electronica.

How's that Current 93? I've heard a few of their albums and really enjoyed them. Has David Tibet still got his great compositional skill?

Meh. In all seriousness, I can understand people not liking Geddy's voice. Now how people like that Hammill guy's voice, I will never know.

A new year is just a new number I have to remember to write. Although at the end of next year, I'll be 21. And it looks like I might have a girlfriend sometime next year.

It's not just his silky smooth vocals, it's his lyrics too. And they're not about Ayn Randian sh*te or stupid Sci-Fi clichés.

It's such a stupidly amazing album. I cannot decide where to place it. It may creep as high as No. 1 or it may be second or I may place it third... gosh. Listening to Huuro Kolkko now and damn... this has to be in that top 5 too.

Our lists are very similar. (not a big surprise) I think I have Aranis in at #4. Huuro Kolkko was very good, though, just missed the top 5.

It has vocals on it - I though it was a great addition, but others might have a different take. Can't wait to hear their work next year with Dave Kerman.
