Not gonna lie, 2009 was a pretty solid year for music IMO, but this list looks pretty promising too. Cult of Luna, Pain of Salvation, at least 1 new Devin Townsend album, Aghora, Negura Bunget, Kayo Dot, Anathema, Orphaned Land, Spock's Beard, and possibly even Opeth or Tool? (The latter sounds a little unlikely; I've heard they're already discussing writing music for a 2010 release, but that would throw off their 5-year waiting period. Then again, who am I to say? Keenan and crew aren't really bound to anything.)

Just to let you know, Haken will now be releasing their debut album 'Aquarius' in February. Two reasons - delay with artwork (which we hope won't stretch even further back to March), and also February is effectively the month of Aquarius, so it's much more fitting!

Not a bad list. But, Pain of Salvation has declided over the past couple of years, excspecially with their relaese of Scarsick.

True. but I'm excited for what Road Salt has to offer. I haven't listened to it myself yet, but from what I hear and from reviewers on this site, Linoleum was a good EP and sets the stage for Road Salt being a good album.

(from latest) 0)Will add this metal thingy 1)Hooray, I'm born under a sign of Aquarius. Album exactly for me then ? Will include it, don't worry, as sure thing.
2)I suppose it would be good idea to get myself into Sleepytime, right ? 3)I would welcome Zomby Woof too :-) 4)Metal reigns the land and who am I to resist ? It's time to throw this irracional fear away and enjoy both, rock metal (can it be a genre ? hehe) 5)yep, by my opinion, this thread needs more bumps. And infos. Which it get, as soon as people see it :-)
Just three days. But honestly, who would be crazy enough to release something on 1. 1. 2010

nothing on this list excites me..... well maybe Wobbler but i hope that this time they will do something in their own style instead of recycling old prog melodies and riffs , although they do it very well ,better than any other band i have heard no disrespect i love Hinterland and Afterglow but it gets a little boring after two albums
also i was expecting a new atheist album in 2009 i guess they won't release it until 2010 i hope.

Shouldn't this stay open and add more albums as they are announced?

Also, Guapo will be releasing a new album in 2010, as will Polar Bear.
Oh and so will Birds and Buildings, apparently.

I would like to have this stickied too, but this would be unprecedented deed, as just one thing is stickied here.

Dordeduh is a band formed by members of Negura Bunget after they quit it last summer. They have signed a deal with a record company and will be releasing a debut album called "Dardeduh" in 2010. As they haven't uploaded anything on MySpace yet, I can only suppose it's going to be a Tech/Extreme release http://www.myspace.com/officialdordeduh
