Did you not offer them some WatchtowerLOL

I never thought of buying metal for such practical purposes.

But now really: I didn't even reply my usual, about love being crap and such. I lied that I'm doing my best, and they still "oh no no no, you have to love each second of your draining life".

F.U. then, lady! Angry

I'd be like, "I love beer each second. That's got to count for something."

You don't seem very optimistic.

And what's with the avatar? I know its background, from Vompatti's thread, I just don't realize why you loved it so much. LOL

(and how come you're visiting this thread?)

I was rather thinking about the awkward situation. I've been hearing about this band for so long that it's even shameful that I've been so lazy. And what if it gets into my top five of 2009? I've already posted my top everywhere. Anyway, I'm curious.

BTW: is there anything to be explained 'bout love? It just happens Tongue

Robert, great OK Computer review Clap But how about the "Karma Police" video? That also had a huge impact on me.

I actually anticipate that you won't like it.

Dirty Projectors, Antlers and Flaming Lips have all made better, from the artistical point of view, but I guess it's too late to wonder how I ended up so drunk on MPP the whole year (back in Feb and March I was jogging, at 8AM, along Bega, on it).

Listening to the new Byron; it's a grower. I would have been disappointed of myself, had I not liked it. Tongue

Kid A = 2 stars.  I do not get the praise surrounding that mess.

Thanks!  Smile  I actually do not remember seeing that video.  I'll have to pull it up sometime.

Cool, I hope you like that album Rob. Also, I want to recommend you this: http://www.byronmusic.ro/ I just got this band added to Crossover. You can listen on their homepage to all their albums in full and for free, and I'd recommend "Forbidden Drama" (the one with the eye on the cover). From all the people on PA, I think they'd suit your tastes the best. Big smile

I might prefer Present to UZ, but I've only listened to 2 albums by each band, one listen per album so far.  Both definitely require more listening.

I sort of felt that way initially, but now UZ is just miles beyond Present for me.  I found Certitudes a bit boring.

Got some Radiohead for Christmas. The Bends was pretty dire on a first listen. Don't remember being too concerned by Kid A. Liked some of the other stuff.

The Bends isn't that great.

Kid A rocks though.

I rather like OK Computer. Perhaps I will listen to it today, I need something to do while I have this cold. :(

I know someone who thinks The Bends is the best Radiohead album to date. But he's a Radiohead fanboy.

Also, my top 10 list of the year should be done sometime this afternoon. And then to start working on my top 25 of the decade! Big smile
