I checked out that black metal supergroup Twilight with Aaron Turner and the Nachtmystium  guy amongst others... Pretty disappointing TBH. It's a little saddening how these super groups tend to be less than what you expect.

Have any of you guys checked Isis' second EP the red sea? It's heavy as sh*t!

Well, Ocoai has a pretty kick ass (actually, kinda disappointing imo considering their beautiful last album, but very nice) new piece on their myspace:

http://www.myspace.com/ocoai   (also, they've apparently finished recording a new album recently)

Regarding Twilight... yeah, i agree.

About Red Sea, yeah, it's heavy, but not quite colorful enough for my liking. (although  i couldn't find it in my to call anything Isis has released "bad)

Big smile Max Simmonds.- Born (28/12/76), was raised in New York City. In 2004 released his album debut "High Fidelity", a music masterpiece inspired in classic songs from the 80's and 90's. Featuring the hit "Plastic Passion" Simmonds reached positions in top charts in Europe, selling thousands of copies and becoming a rock revelation.

In 2009, after some time off, released his second album, "Vice", a retro, sexy and hard album, here's the promotional single "Devil's night".

Did Vaka ever get added?

Skagos should be in here too. They're post-black metal / blackwave / blackened post-rock / whatever the cool kids are calling it these days... They're amazing and their releases this year were infinitely better than WitTR's IMO (speaking of '09).

The compositions on "For Long Tomorrow" have a kind of Sam Jackson 5 kind of fresh style to them; i'm starting to think this going to be my fav. Toe album.
