Z2 is an upcoming album by Devin Townsend.[1] It is the sequel to his 2007 album Ziltoid the Omniscient.[2] Townsend is also planning on releasing a graphic novel based on the Ziltoid character.[3] And also according to Wikipedia, he plans to start work on it once all the DTP albums are done. Can't wait! Don't get too excited. This is Devin Townsend. He changes his mind all the time. Is it possible? Yes. Perhaps even likely. But not guaranteed. Let's let him finish the next two in the way before he even starts on Z2, and then I'll be more inclined to get my hopes up if he still says it's his plan.
Although, this four album concept/Project thing is probably the first idealistic endeavor he's promised to undergo and has (so far) completely successfully undergone. So maybe he's becoming a bit more reliable of an informer. |

Now that Devin's sobered up he probably isn't as prone to mood swings as before, and I'm actually quite sure he will follow through with this plan. He has been talking about making a musical for a while now, and I think now's the time!
"In the new record, it’s real drums, orchestra, choirs etc… a REAL doozy…" -DT ...and it sounds like a lot of fun! |

Man, this guy just never stops he is truly gifted (imo) to be able to seemingly never stop writing new and original music, hes starting to sound almost as prolific as Zappa (well, maybe...) I'm still excited for the next two DTP albums to get worked up over this new one though

Deconstruktion is done, now in post-production. I don't know where he's at on Ghost, but recent interviews have quite about this Broadway musical which may or may not be Z2. I'm not sure that's my preferred direction for him, but after completing this 4 album project, I think he's earned doing whatever he wants.

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.
