And what about ECHOLYN release that seemed to be ready beginning 2009? Then Brett Kull and Paul Ramsey joined Francis Dunnery in "The New Progressives" (new double album is out). Have Echolyn disbanded definetely?

Am I the only one who is looking forward the new Planet X album that's coming out next year...??? I'm excited also for the new Symphony X album, and of course, if we are talking about own and self made production, stay tunne to the first realase of my band, Axis which will be called "Monometro 87"...

Can't wait - Hope this one is in hard copy! |
Actually, that's a good point. I was looking to buy your album (@ Epignosis) but didn't feel like buying it in mp3 format. Have you looked at any of the sites online that will handle pressing and shipping CDs, where all you have to do is provide the audio and the art for it? (I know there are a few, a friend of mine used kunaki and was satisfied, if not blown away, with their service).
Does anyone know if Beardfish/The Tangent are releasing anything for sure next year?
|
I think the Beardfish/Tangent collaboration is off. I'm sure I heard this from Beardfish somewhere but I'm not 100% sure.

The end of the world will come in 2010 if the new Beard album doesn't come out.

Over at Progressive Ears I saw these albums being said to be released and I greatly look forward to them among other albums:
Jacob Holm-Lupo (I trust you know who he is) said these will come out: - Wobbler's 3rd - Okasa's 1st (Ketil Einarsen's new project) - White Willow's 6th
And Marcello Marinone (from the Alt-rock label) said these will come out on the label:
- Aranis (with Dave Kerman & Pierre Chevalier) - Factor Burzaco new album - Yugen (follow of Labirinto d'acqua) with Dave Kerman, Guy Segers, Elaine Di Falco, Dave Wiley...

How can you even navigate that place?! I've tried a few times, and never find what I want.

looking forward to the next release of Symphony X. Can they mix the raw power of Paradise lost with the more symphonic approach of mythodoly suite. That would be Absolutely Awesome!
Also looking forward teh next Spock<s Beard.
What about Van Den Plas? It as been a while since... heard a while back that they should have something soon.
I am sure 2010 will be just as great as 2009.
Long live Prog!

I'm puzzled too. With working titles as "The Cardinal And I" and "Moments Without Sounds", it ought to be a GREAT release.
But I'm sure the band didn't disband. I mean, I guess we would have been told so if it was the case. I must admit I was not really glad about the New Progressives though, because I thought it would slow the process of recording the new album.

Ah ... for some reason I thought that the new tangent one that just came out was a live album and the studio one was still in the works, I see now that I am mistaken about that one. Will have to purchase that ASAP :D Was actually asking about the two bands seperately (although the knowledge that they had talked about working together was what brought them both together in my mind at the same time). Beardfish has been pretty consistent lately though with their release schedule, I hope we can expect some new stuff from them.

Thanks for the reminder about some of these... :)
I forgot a few: In Lingua Mortua (the tracks on their myspace sound AMAZING), Ondskapt, Cult of Luna, and Shining.
Edit: Oh and Sleepytime Gorilla Museum of course! They'll have three new releases. A new album, a new movie based on the album, and a DVD of the best concert I've EVER been to!!!
