I was a little unimpressed by Florence.

Though Bat For Lashes are more my cup of rosie-lee and I've liked what I've heard of The Yeah Yeah Yeahs but probably not enough to buy an album.
What?

Just watching the Rememberance Service at the Cenotaph this morning, which seems especially poignant this year....Unhappy

I went for an audition with a new band yesterday. I arrived to find that the guitarist owned a small mansion with a rehearsal/recording studio housed in a purpose-built "outhouse" (which is only slightly smaller than my house). Loads of equipment, I don't even have to take my amp. I think my Warwick bass persuaded them to hire me before I even started. Still can't believe my luck.

Too true, only we now stop for a tea-break at certain points. And I got a blister on my finger. Cry

You know when you're too old to rock'n'roll when...

You turn down the amps before the landlord tells you to.

You can't do those long solos without stopping for a pee.

Your Zimmer frame gets in the way of the mike stand.

Your Zimmer frame IS the mike stand.

You won't play on Sunday in case you miss "Last of the Summer Wine".

Wink

Tea and biscuits and rock and roll
Are all my brain and body need
Oh, and a slice of lardy cake would be nice as well
And can we break for Autumnwatch?

- and even that seems a bit hectic to me!

That reminds me of one of the lines from Money For NothingLOL

What are you/they called? And can I get a rare white label to sell for godzillions in an unscrupulous manner in about 20 years time?
It's not that I can't find worth in anything, it's just that I can't find worth in enough.

It was supposed to be a reference to "Helter Skelter". LOL

A white label? The best you'll get is a rare MP3 these days.

We don't have a name - suggestions welcome.

(I'm going to regret saying that).
