There are about 500 people in Israel whom I believe keeping smiling all this week, and teapots and pixies fill their head... Yes, the two shows in Zappa club in Tel Aviv created an amazing treat. I'm not a Gong expert, but according to the information, most of the materials where taken from Daevid Allen - Steve Hiladge phase of the group, with few songs from their new album. Allen and Hiladge where great, for me to listen and see Steve Hiladge from about 5 meter distance was an excitement, I must say. Daevid Allen was crazy in a good manner. I impressed very much from Miquette Giraudy and her contribution to the group, on what seemed to be analog electronic devices, and the way she provide all the spacey elements. Gilly Smith was also great. The younger players, drummer, bassist, and woodwind man where excellent, and did their roles very seriously and with a lot of responsibility, so it seemed. The older ones looked just happy to play and be on stage, and made the audience happy as well. Wonderful show.

How old are you? I think I saw you. I was actually a meter away from Steve and because we met earlier that day he had smiled at me and I had smiled back. One of the best days ever (t'was all on the 30th).

Hi S. nice to see you here again (you should post more Smile)

Thanks for the review.
Did you read Breitman's page about the band in Israel (he needs to update it with a real review of the shows)?

I'm not comparing the two.
And if there's a resource I can use, I'll use it.
I'm not enthusiastic about Breitman and his views or likes and dislikes, but I like to go once in a while to his website. It's more than most of us here do, so dismissing it, is quite childish.

Same here, but I still don't enjoy reading what I already know (95 percent of the site)

That's true but it's very valuable for beginners. And also for some who don't know some of the basic stuff and for those who like to read about shows or new reviews of his (which I don't read, but I know some who do).

I have been at the show at 31/10.

Normaly Uri B. does not write shows reviews, and let others to response about shows.

There is a good review that Michael Rorberger wrote at 'Achbar ha ir', I hope its available through the internet.

I read that review yesterday. It's probably the best example ever for "keep it short and simple".

I think they started with Escape Control Delete, then Zero the Hero, then the good tracks off the new album (Waccy, Portal, Dance with the Pixies and Digital GIrl) then Flute Salad, Oily Way, Inner Temple, Outer Temple, then a trio from You and it ended.
