I laugh a lot with that review too... Epignosis knows how to write, with the accurate rythum and a good twist at the end... "Still stinks..." jajaaja..!!!!

I missed out on those old posts. Hilarious ![]() Not all prog fans suffer from a high IQ, that's for sure. Reading all of those funny quotes after one another really lightens up your day. Nice idea to collect them. ![]() |

That was the entire review. Judging by a few reviews I think it's obvious this user relied heavily on an online translator but I do love how the biography of Ludwig II gets most of the real estate while anything that describes the actual music is given only one sentence. OK, here's another short batch:
This is an excellent album, but it's a little difficult to enjoy it. Some of the lyrical content is laughable, 'here she comes again, smiling like a horse' ? Come on, what kind of lyrics are those? My family's mojo is a lot like DeYoung's. He seems like a guy who could be my father. No one's fallowing the rules here what with me swearing and the other reviewer writing in Spanish or something eh? If anyone asks me where to start with ZAPPA (which, to be honest, never happens), we find that the Flying Teapot is actually a spaceship emiting Radio Gnome waves to expand the minds and awareness of the Planet GonG whose inhabitants are Pot Head Pixies. First of all let me say, if you're one of those strange people who continually get confused and can't tell the difference between MASTURBATION and GUITAR PLAYING let me straighten you out: BOTH CAN BE FUN but only if you remember that it's the GUITAR and AMPLIFIER you stick the jack plugs into. . . I hope that's clarified the situation. If you're still confused then remind me never, I repeat, never to go and see you play guitar in public, or at least remind me not to stand in the front row. Now to the review. If you don't believe me, check the New Grove Dictionary of music and musicians. If you just happen to have Vol 20 of the 1980 edition handy (what do you mean, you don't have a copy? Shame on you all) then, turn to page 644. SEE, I TOLD YOU SO! this is full of excellent guitars solo but also full of obscenities to make kids buy it . Of course I bought it Congratulations for your music,i didn't know how many cd's you made...i'm very amazing and happy because only have 5 and there are much more....hasta la vista.....could you say if willplay in Spain near of time? (entire review) be careful not to be playing to this as you try to get into the pants of this girl you've been trying to seduce because she will flee and you will hate this album (EL you know who you are!) I can't help but giggle at (you know who)'s comments about this lp, and it's negative affect on his would-be sexual conquest. Can must have had her running for cover under a pile of Chris De Burgh albums . I must say that this music has had quite the opposite affect on my lady friend. Pretty much in agreeance with everyone else here. Last week, when I was visiting a local music store down here in my city, a young man approached me asking: "Excuse me, do you think this live album of Transatlantic is okay?". (I was actually surprised with the fact he was approaching me... ) So anyway good album, not a masterpiece, but Side One is near perfect, and Side Two is not bad by any means. Buy this. I happened to find it used at the CD store. Great Deal. I'm rambling now. Bye. (Warning - this album was the main reason my wife left me!) Even if i'm not a devourer of prog metal i feel called out to expose my opinion A great way to give my wife a headache on a long drive. If you could draw a straight line between DP In Rock and the first album of Wallenstein called Blitzkrieg, one could place this one exactly in the middle. How could this album be called crap??? Sorry, but I agree that this album could never be called "crap" Wow, not sure what the other reviewer was lsitenign too. Perhaps his Realistic CD player shiite the bed? I didn't give this album 5 stars because I really haven't finish listening to it my lone star is to punish them for being on this site - and I don't like new wave . Extreme sofisticated and avant-garde music!!! My only complaint is the cheesy end, you know, when the drum has that BMM, BUMMM, BMM, BUMM then gong type ending. It was obvious at the time this album came out that (the band) were past their prime, although I do agree that's somewhat debatable. One word: Beautiful. NEXT REVIEW - One word: Crap. Well, I really don't know what to whrite here.

Hello again Bob ...
yet another round of classics! ... (Warning - this album was the main reason my wife left me!) indeed! ![]() And yes it does seem like another age since I was an admin (roughly from mid 2005 to 2006 if I recall correctly) ... great job keeping this place going, Bob! ![]() I suddenly remembered another round of reviews that made me chuckle ... there was one guy who was totally obsessed with Bill Bruford's brief stint in Genesis ... and kept trying to slip that into every possible review he wrote! ![]() |

This is still on the front page:
I remember how good I thought this album sounded when I bought it in '74. Well, just reverse that feeling when I put on the greatly anticipated 5.1 version. The sound is so flat and artificial, with audible distortion, in an attempt to bring "immediacy" to the music. It feels like Pixar has been contracted to restore the Sistine Chapel. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I remember being not so serious with the latest Ayreon album.
As for other reviews, I was looking for a particular one written about Sigur Ros that was truly hilarious but apparently it's gone. (one that gave references to the tree creatures in Lord of the Rings)

It is really very funny to use a translator! Look at the evidence for yourself here! I roll off the couch and falls off my pants with laughter! What a very funny review are on this site! Thanks to Easy Livin collection. This time they were very successful. Sometimes you can not cook soup. But that's precisely the fun of it!
I do have a little sorry for all those people who can not English, but still want to write a pointed review. All the subtleties of their ideas are lost in translation. What is funny about serious aims. Really a bit of a waste of time. They would be better to take a crash course in English. But funny for a thread like this it is certainly, I must say! Oh, by the way: it strikes me that some sentences still fairly well localized. Sometimes they even completely or nearly completely translated correctly, but other sentences are incomprehensible, and it looks like, how incomprehensible how comical.
