I like Sophie. I've recorded her at a small accoustic session at work once and she can certainly sing. I've always liked Toyah too but I think that Lily may look best from behind (I'm sure she's a lovely girl 'though).

Mid Life Crisis were (maybe still are) a bunch of lads from around Middlesborough who had a pretty good pub covers band. Played some R&B, some rock, some Ska (Madness, Beat) and Morrisey (First of the Gang to Die). Met them three years running at the TT races playing the pubs in Douglas. First year they came in a van but the second year they nearly all had bikes as well. Good bunch of lads.

Sophie's a good singer and,as others have noted, not too difficult to look at. Toyah is Mrs Robert Fripp, which gives her a pretty strong prog connection. As for Lily Allen - I can't say I'm much of a fan, but she's clearly got something. I can only assume that she inherited her looks, brains and talent from her mother - I agree with Jim about her dad (though his cameo in Trainspotting wasn't bad).

I've disliked her dad strongly (inasmuch as you can actually dislike someone you don't know ) since the first time I ever saw him interviewed & that opinion has never changed over the years, except to go even lower when I saw him 'interviewing' Keith Floyd

None of them are a patch on Florence (as in Florence + The Machine). Of all the female singers labelled "the new Kate Bush" she comes the closest to the Goddess herself.
