The Moog M1 is that little Moog that was sold by radio shack, its small and cheap and sounds great. Even has some features the mini moog didn't have.
The Korg M1 is different. You picked the right ones from the list, the MS20 and the EPS are slam dunks. The Odyssey is a major dissapointment. Edited by Easy Money - October 11 2009 at 12:32 |

^ yes, it was a radio shack (realistic) moog hybrid. Suprisingly good synth despite what you would expect from radio shack. I should have called mine a Moog MG1 ..Doh!

I played a nice G&L 2000 bass and a Peavey Cirrus BXP this weekend at the local music store, both were incredibly nice instruments. I also finally got to try the Fender I just claimed was my current wish list...not so well fit for the style of music I'd like to get out of it. Of course, it could have just been the way the store had it set up, so I'll give others a try any time I see them.

I play the drums, but actually I do not own a kit. Yes, i could afford one (small), but I would have nowhere to put it, since I live in a flat. Oh yeah, I have one random off-brand japanese crappy electric guitar. It's brooken and only has 5 strings since I broke and had to change the highest string always, so I just gave up with it. I don't play guitar (because I suck) but I use it to write stuff for my band.Edited by IdiotPrayer - November 03 2009 at 12:32 |

I'm jealous about each of those you mentioned (except for bizarre little Poly 800, which I own - capable of great sounds, after deep digging). Nothing to be ashamed of...Casio CZ series...a phase distortion beast!! BTW, I like Bathroom Accidents a lot. And what synth plays the lead sound on Bob is on TV? |

Thanks for your kind words Clarke! It's really nice to have someone take a listen to my stuff! You're right about the Poly 800 Kind of a waste of space, as I don't have the time to try and coax a decent patch out of it. The Casio doesn't get all that much use. That lead on "Bob is on TV is the Roland JX-3P, with a lot of tweaking. I have to say that your post made my day. If you have any material posted let me know, I'd like to have a listen. Cheers, Paul |

Just beefed up my amp collection with;
Peavey Mk VI bass head - sounds incredible through my Peavey 1820 cab.
...and...
Marshall JCM 800 50W Lead 2x12 combo based on 2204 amp, made in 1985.
Proper loud.
For the studio we bought;
Schecter Blackjack Diamond 7-string (not the ATX version)
ESP George Lynch signature Flame Baritone
Gibson Les Paul Studio (ebony)
Line 6 Pod X3 (x2).
This brings our total guitars up to 11. We have 14 keyboards, most recent being an Access Virus.

Current:
Synthesizer: Kawai K1 Electric Guitar: Jackson Performer with Floyd Rose whammy bar. Electric Guitar effects box: Line 6 Floor Pod Plus Acoustic Guitar: Yahmha C40 (classical) Sequencer: Yahmaha QY100 Amp: Behringer Ultratone K450FX Computer Program: Cakewalk USB Music Pack. Keyboard Stand: Quik Lok T-22 (two tier which means I have to go out and buy another keyboard now ) Metronome: Seiko DM-20 Guitar Tuner: Korg GA-30 Guitar Slide: glass, brand unknown Guitar Stands: one old one new, do brands really matter with this item? Flood victims: Amplifier Traynor BLOC80B Sampler (Musical Device) Zoom ST-224 Electric Guitar Effects Box Zoom 2020 Synthesizer (Keyboard) Korg Poly 61 Combo Keyboard Case/Stand Hybrid Electric Guitar Kramer FT-202S A couple of broken steel string acoustic guitars and my wife's classical which she never used since we did lessons together back in 2001. Interestingly, I put my Jackson on the cube freezer in the utility room when the water was coming in and it survived. The old keyboard case/stand wasn't in the best of shape so was listing a little and my K1 had just the corner touch the water and survived. Some of the onboard patches were scrambled, but the patch set on the memory card survived in tact. The Korg had long ago ceased to be a functioning keyboard and I had replaced the Kramer, which also had a whammy bar, but the body was made of dense particleboard and it never stayed in tune too well. Haven't successfully set up the new MIDI capable devices to communicate yet. Edited by Slartibartfast - September 06 2010 at 11:52 |
