Epignosis, Steven Wilson - NSRGNTSRMXS

I laugh a lot with that review too... Epignosis knows how to write, with the accurate rythum and a good twist at the end... "Still stinks..." jajaaja..!!!!

I missed out on those old posts. Hilarious LOL !

Not all prog fans suffer from a high IQ, that's for sure. Reading all of those funny quotes after one another really lightens up your day. Nice idea to collect them. Clap

Quote Their fourth album [album title] . The sound is still getting better from their previous album. The highlight of the album is [song title], longer than thirty minutes. Ludwig Ⅱ von Bayern (1845 - 1886) was a king of Bayern. He loved Wagner and built a famous castle neuschwanstein. In 1870, he became a mental illness and arrested in 1886. The next day, he found as a drowned body. It is still a mystery that why he has dead.

By the way, the music style is a chamber music with synthesizer. Magical album. Excellent addition to any prog music collection.

That was the entire review. Judging by a few reviews I think it's obvious this user relied heavily on an online translator but I do love how the biography of Ludwig II gets most of the real estate while anything that describes the actual music is given only one sentence.

OK, here's another short batch:

This is an excellent album, but it's a little difficult to enjoy it.

Some of the lyrical content is laughable, 'here she comes again, smiling like a horse' ? Come on, what kind of lyrics are those?

My family's mojo is a lot like DeYoung's. He seems like a guy who could be my father.

No one's fallowing the rules here what with me swearing and the other reviewer writing in Spanish or something eh?

If anyone asks me where to start with ZAPPA (which, to be honest, never happens),

we find that the Flying Teapot is actually a spaceship emiting Radio Gnome waves to expand the minds and awareness of the Planet GonG whose inhabitants are Pot Head Pixies.

First of all let me say, if you're one of those strange people who continually get confused and can't tell the difference between MASTURBATION and GUITAR PLAYING let me straighten you out: BOTH CAN BE FUN but only if you remember that it's the GUITAR and AMPLIFIER you stick the jack plugs into. . . I hope that's clarified the situation. If you're still confused then remind me never, I repeat, never to go and see you play guitar in public, or at least remind me not to stand in the front row. Now to the review.

If you don't believe me, check the New Grove Dictionary of music and musicians. If you just happen to have Vol 20 of the 1980 edition handy (what do you mean, you don't have a copy? Shame on you all) then, turn to page 644. SEE, I TOLD YOU SO!

this is full of excellent guitars solo but also full of obscenities to make kids buy it . Of course I bought it

Congratulations for your music,i didn't know how many cd's you made...i'm very amazing and happy because only have 5 and there are much more....hasta la vista.....could you say if willplay in Spain near of time? (entire review)

be careful not to be playing to this as you try to get into the pants of this girl you've been trying to seduce because she will flee and you will hate this album (EL you know who you are!)

I can't help but giggle at (you know who)'s comments about this lp, and it's negative affect on his would-be sexual conquest. Can must have had her running for cover under a pile of Chris De Burgh albums . I must say that this music has had quite the opposite affect on my lady friend.

Pretty much in agreeance with everyone else here.

Last week, when I was visiting a local music store down here in my city, a young man approached me asking: "Excuse me, do you think this live album of Transatlantic is okay?". (I was actually surprised with the fact he was approaching me... )

So anyway good album, not a masterpiece, but Side One is near perfect, and Side Two is not bad by any means. Buy this. I happened to find it used at the CD store. Great Deal. I'm rambling now. Bye.

(Warning - this album was the main reason my wife left me!)

Even if i'm not a devourer of prog metal i feel called out to expose my opinion

A great way to give my wife a headache on a long drive.

If you could draw a straight line between DP In Rock and the first album of Wallenstein called Blitzkrieg, one could place this one exactly in the middle.

How could this album be called crap???

Sorry, but I agree that this album could never be called "crap"

Wow, not sure what the other reviewer was lsitenign too. Perhaps his Realistic CD player shiite the bed?

I didn't give this album 5 stars because I really haven't finish listening to it

my lone star is to punish them for being on this site - and I don't like new wave .

Extreme sofisticated and avant-garde music!!!

My only complaint is the cheesy end, you know, when the drum has that BMM, BUMMM, BMM, BUMM then gong type ending.

It was obvious at the time this album came out that (the band) were past their prime, although I do agree that's somewhat debatable.

One word: Beautiful. NEXT REVIEW - One word: Crap.

Well, I really don't know what to whrite here.

 • I can't really understand the Genesis references though ....does have a bit of that style... Musically, this is nothing like Genesis in any way, aside from the fact that they use keyboards, guitar, bass and drums. The vocals, of course, sound a good deal like Gabriel...

 • I listen thant, and have impresion to listen old sheep rock with sometime a prog elements.

 • I know this is a crap review but I just can't be bothered, I've got better things to do with my time than writing reviews.

 • Maybe it was conceivable but I like to express my sincere condolences to the death of (this band's) last prog influences.

 • Definately a 4.7392 star rating in my opinion.

 • 2.9999 stars really ....but not three. (He gave 2 stars)

 • Like many prolific artists, (this band) let go a few musical farts in their time.

 • look here you silly little man, just beacause it isn't prog rock doesn't mean we have to put up with your stuffy pompous remarks about 'oh well its not prog' for god sake you lot on here make me want to puke you really do! (EL - Complete review!)

 • bye good luck !!!and lisen progressive rock!!! is the best

 • What a shame! The music consists in 2-3 humming refrigerators at the same time, plus a portative fan that turns back and forth to make the anyway inexistent rhythm, and finally a coming cluster of threatening killer bees! There are tons of albums better than this one to describe the desolation once you go alone on Mars!

 • I don't have any of (this bands) records, but I listened to them once in the radio and I can tellyou they are grat

 • PS. the "untitled" last song is actually called "Gånglåt från dalarna"...

 • the only part of the album I dont like is when there making funny sounds at the beggining of pow. r torch (or whatever). but i'm getting used to it

 • When I heard title track, I was blown away by the strenght of horns, and beautyness of organs.

 • With the unique combination (RARE BIRD did it earlier)of 2 keyboard players

 • Acoustic= umplegged

 • The back cover claims there is a bonus song 'Total Playing Time' but at least my version doesn't have it! Actually I'm so pissed off about that I give this only four stars!

 • The Track listing is the same, with a different order and several track changes.

 • How can someone rate this album under 5 stars?... it doesn't deserves 5 stars but at least 3. And the average between 20 and 3 gives 11.5....still a 5

 • The moon revolves around the earth, the earth revolves around the sun and so forth. At the end of the day it just all revolves around something, keeping a bearing, revolving all the while. But this? This only revolves around the turntable.

 • Ok, I am a weird person… (E.L. - I refuse to say who wrote this!)

 • Stever Hackett, the man who needs no introduction

Translator classics:

 • Optimal sonorous column for a visit to an ancient castle is one.

 • They have remained confuseed in listening Sir Blackmore to together make minstrel that great piece of woman (blessed soul he...) that it answers to the name of Candice Night.

 • The voces part of this album is terribly very hots but all members of this band (of course...) are xtremely hot.

 • There other songs to give the dimension of the insanity of this band! But the mental hospitals do not exist?

 • I do not have other words in order to describe live that go listend and enjoyed until in bottom.

 • The illegal Alcohol of sister (referring to the track "Sister moonshine")

 • Nothing to obtain to your mice any worms before and with salt caves.

 • Around 14 edged impressions , marks precisely a pulse of hypnotic to sound paralyzed casual mood, in the frail of depicting a tense, a swallowed or a marginalized thrilling act. Not totally in the mood of the picture and only in that, the soundtrack still cohabitates the most prominent audiotage character from the high spirit or recurring act inside the roll, and a pickling from Tangerine Dream’s own recording poise and backdrops.

I swear I've heard Cedric Bixler-Zavala sing these lines.

Hello again Bob ...

yet another round of classics! ... (Warning - this album was the main reason my wife left me!) indeed! LOL

And yes it does seem like another age since I was an admin (roughly from mid 2005 to 2006 if I recall correctly) ... great job keeping this place going, Bob! Clap

I suddenly remembered another round of reviews that made me chuckle ... there was one guy who was totally obsessed with Bill Bruford's brief stint in Genesis ... and kept trying to slip that into every possible review he wrote! Tongue
"Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.”

"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."

This is still on the front page:

I remember how good I thought this album sounded when I bought it in '74. Well, just reverse that feeling when I put on the greatly anticipated 5.1 version. The sound is so flat and artificial, with audible distortion, in an attempt to bring "immediacy" to the music. It feels like Pixar has been contracted to restore the Sistine Chapel.

Yet his feelings are still understandable

There's a point where "avant-garde" and "experimental" becomes "terrible" and "pointless,"

I remember being not so serious with the latest Ayreon album.

Quote A subpar concept album about an immortal and technologically advanced alien race hooked on machines, losing their emotions, and feeling hopeless about the future of the race. Seeing a comet about to collide with Earth (the one that extinguished the dinosaurs), they decided to plant their DNA on that comet. Initially, it was successful, but then humankind got hooked on machines, World of Warcraft, reality tv shows, World Wars and Myspace.

Quote Hopefully this album will not spawn a religion nor be taught in school as Eternity design.

As for other reviews, I was looking for a particular one written about Sigur Ros that was truly hilarious but apparently it's gone. (one that gave references to the tree creatures in Lord of the Rings)

It is really very funny to use a translator! Look at the evidence for yourself here! I roll off the couch and falls off my pants with laughter! What a very funny review are on this site! Thanks to Easy Livin collection. This time they were very successful. Sometimes you can not cook soup. But that's precisely the fun of it!

I do have a little sorry for all those people who can not English, but still want to write a pointed review. All the subtleties of their ideas are lost in translation. What is funny about serious aims. Really a bit of a waste of time. They would be better to take a crash course in English. But funny for a thread like this it is certainly, I must say!

Oh, by the way: it strikes me that some sentences still fairly well localized. Sometimes they even completely or nearly completely translated correctly, but other sentences are incomprehensible, and it looks like, how incomprehensible how comical.
