My wife Vicky and I in Cornwall a few weeks back with our new best friends:
Luckily for marital harmony, neither of us out did the other - both these fish (caught a few days apart & the largest each of us caught) weighed in @ 11 pounds exactly

Mine is a mirror carp & Vicky's is a common (or bronze) carp & believe me, they fight like b ds - this was Vicky just after she got the hit:

With the size of that pole and no water showing, it looks like you're fishing for cattle.

This is from a few weeks ago. That is the rose John Zorn threw out at The Stone. I noticed as well that my camera is terrible and cannot focus, but unsharp mask showed how awful my skin is. :(
