I've given this a couple of spins Thursday and Friday, and it seems I wasn't wrong when I proclaimed this to be the best DT album since Six Degrees Thumbs Up A great album, a total surprise after two big disappointments.

Somebody of my school recommended it to me and let me hear a little bit from it. I got it today and right now I'm about half way through, and it sounds pretty great! The outro of Deliverance really is fantastic.

Deliverance is the best song on it, IMO.
Masters Apprentices is also great, but i'm not sure if i like the manic double-bass drumming in the first few minutes.
And then we have the beautiful "A Fair Judgement" Approve

Oh yes, they had theirs too a while ago with a special gig and all Smile There weren't any big ceremonies on the Overhead anniversary, apparently the band members gathered to the bassists house to celebrate and sent a message to everyone in the Facebook's Overhead group. That's how I learnt about it and congratulated them Tongue

The Decemberists The Hazards of Love album cover

This is my first encounter with The Decemberists and I loved it. I'm not quite sure if I'd call it prog or not but that doesn't stop it from being an excellent album.
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal.
