Of course I leave out their only succesful single... but I want to know the opinion of the fans... we can see that their latest singles are pure metal singles... nothing wrong about it... but is an evident change... share your opinion about these promotional songs... I go for AROP... don't know why but the instrumental break is marvelous IMO... so... you tell me... Cheers...!!!

Constant Motion gets my vote. Just a rockin' song, start to finish. I've never been too big on Dream Theater's singles, however. More often than not they're the worst song on the album.

Hollow Years ftw. The best song from the list, without a doubt. The others are songs I don't like as much as other DT stuff.

I can't believe Hollow Years is winning this; it's easily the worst one here.
I'll go for A Rite of Passage. |

I rather liked their new single A Rite of Passage, but from this list I like better As I Am. Even though that one's almost enirely metal with now prog relation.

Hollow Years. But also I would add Take Away My Pain and I Walk Beside You.

Hollow Years is the best on the list. Constant Motion comes in dead last by a long shot, haha, I can't stand it!

Those are not "Singles"... I like most Falling Into Infinity... but I can't stand I walk Beside you... it's annoying for me... maybe the least interesting song I've heard from him... but that's the idea of this particular poll... I'm not talking about progressive... I want to know what people like about their least prog music, in fact, their most mainstream songs... interesting that a Falling Into Infinity songs is winning... great song also... |

A Rite of Passage or Through her Eyes... definitely not the awful As I Am, one of DT's 5 worst songs ever

I'm going with Lie, the only one that comes close is "A Rite of Passage" but I'm generally of the opinion that Awake is fantastic from beginning to end with only the exception of "The Silent Man"

Another vote for As I Am over here...
Quick question: Why was this moved to General Polls? This belongs in prog polls for sure... Edited by progkidjoel - October 23 2009 at 16:33 |

Who will thought that the underrated Falling Into Infinity, and one of the most "mainsteam" songs of the album could lead this poll... surprises of lives it is... interesting...

I voted for Lie. BTW: You're using way too many ellipses (...) - we already have one member who has been doing that for years, I'd hate to see that catching on. |
