If it's more TD bashing, you die.

It's not, it's post-rock bashing.

So I'm fine with that.

Just don't let Rob hear a Math Rock band. LOL

I don't think I'll have fans of the group clawing at my door, but fans of the genre will probably send me a few "You just don't get it" private messages.  Then I suspect they will go in their rooms and cry, drops of their black mascara dripping onto their bad poetry.

Ah, it might piss off Petrovski.

I haven't heard the album myself yet. But if it's different and better from the bucketload, I'll know.

I gave Phaedra five stars and Lily on the Beach one.

I make no apologies.

Was just joking. I replied to your review earlier today, there were no hard feelings whatsoever.

Have you tried Post Metal?

That's also quite a stale genre but at least the riffage is a bit chunkier.

You're definitely off-limits in the "Post-Rock/Post-Metal/Post-Post" thread.

I don't.

If you have, what have you heard?

I'm actually more familiar with the more avant-prog math bands like Upsilon Acrux, Cheval de Frise and Ahleuchatistas.

Upsilon Acrux being the best of the bunch.  Ahleuchatistas being the weakest (but I still enjoy them).

This is a link to Danzig's "hit" song Dirty Black Summer.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kRtTtpG8Ls  Check it out and see what you think.

Phish is pretty good. Both them and Umphrey McGee don't get proggier than they ever where with this year's new album, nevertheless deliver good stuff.

Some Battles and some groups I don't remember.  It was okay.

I like post-metal about half of the time.

Sounds like me talking there. LOL

I can occasionally listen to Pelican but only occasionally if I am wanting background music.
