Blind, though I really would hate the inconvenience of not being able to drive. That being said, I think I, along with everyone else here, are too busy listening to their music to be deaf.

Yeah, because I could still listen to music if I was blind, and I'd still be able to play an instrument, etc.

| Actually Pablo...I think you missed the point entirely. Those of us with wives have to listen to them.

Voted for deaf. Sucks to have to give up music, but I could still do my job and provide for my family. Plus I'd rather give up hearing my kids then not being able to see them.

Well heck, I would choose both, and throw in dumb too. Then maybe Roger Daltrey and Pete Townsend could write some album about me.
(Not that I'd ever know it.....actually all of these options suck. )

This doesn't even require much thought on my part........deaf.
Not being able to listen to music would suck but I couldn't imagine spending my life in total darkness. Not seeing my children or grand children would suck,so I would happily give up my hearing for my sight.

I have a family too, and even if music weren't a huge part of my life, I still think I'd rather be blind.
Seeing your kids is nice...
But being able to speak to them, hear what they are going through...I love watching my son dance and make "funny faces," but his laugh is honest to God my favorite sound in this entire universe. I don't think I could give that up.
That or Tales from Topographic Oceans.

Blind, definately. Apart from not being able to live without music, I believe it's much mroe terrible to not be able to hear the people close to you than not being able to see them (but still hear their voices). With deafness it's probably easier to become isolated from the world.

Deaf easily. Ok, I love music but being blind is far too much of an inconvenience. I could still read books, use a computer, have a far easier time getting a job, and could still communicate with people (sign language, writing).

Definitely deaf.... Music is just music in the end.... And voices, I can at least learn sign lanbguage or read cards....
But never again seeing the majestic nature? The people I love? I really think is ridiculous to even consider being blind instead of deaf.
This same poll in the normal world would probably have 90-10 in favor of being deaf instead of blind... But I guess the results are normal for a prog site...

I am just as deaf as I am blind.
Deafness is a much worse misfortune. For it means the loss of the most vital stimulus - the sound of the voice that brings language, sets thoughts astir, and keeps us in the intellectual company of man.
