Hi  i love both these bands but would like to know who you lot prefer and why.  To be fair Im talking about the vintage models of both   showing my age  what do you think?

lol know wht  I would agree   the guitar always bought an extra dimension plus i always thought Yes stretched things more than ELP     but havin said that  loved em both

I prefer Yes to ELP, because Yes has made more great music than ELP in the '70's: more albums that were good from start to finish.

But ELP's highlights are real highlights, and IMHO no less highlights than Yes' highlights.

Yes- exceptional vocal harmonies, amazing lead guitar, a bass that isn't content to be a rhythm instrument, very little filler, and a career marked by longevity.

Can't say the same for ELP on any of these.
