Nah, those five votes were for just the flute solo in My God.

Dream Theater.

No matter how many crappy albums they release, their fanboys keep crawling back for more, begging for another Images & Words.

Genesis comes second.  Their fanbase makes me laugh.

^No Lucent... you make us all laugh at you... You come here, say that this place is sh*t, bash everybody... Damn man... It's actually laughable that your life makes you come to a place you don't enjoy... to a place you're not forced to come.... And yet you come anyway...

Actually, it's sad.

Could be that he's a masochist though, and that his visits in here are ordered by his master (who no doubt is a Dream Theater fan) ;-)

Deep

I don't consider myself a fan boy to any of those bands maybe if it were something patton or omar rodriguez lopez related.

Hmmm That gave me a good idea for a poll.

Anyway on that list I'd go for Genesis

Erm, unless I'm mistaken at the moment PF has close to 20 more votes.

Edit: Hmm, someone's doing a bit of multi-voting I think. Tongue  As for me, no vote because of the lack of Magma, Soft Machine or any other band I'd consider myself a fanboy of.

Both PF and DT have a huge amount of fanboys. I see more DT fanboys than PF fanboys though... so that one gets the majority of my votes, but PF also gets some.

Strange... two hours ago, DT leads for at least 40 votes... mmm... who's traying to trick this poll...???? besides, you know that DT are really die-hard fans... not just followers like with the other bands...

PT.  Out of all of those they're the only one that I absolutely have to have every album.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

How could one forget ELP? Wink
I might be a Sigur Rós or Pain of Salvation fanboy.

And, here is my confession: I used to be a Dream Theater fanboy. Oh yes..Embarrassed

I guess the prog band I'm closest to being a fanboy of is King Crimson.
