Ha! I think this means I know more from '09 than you... (HoL, BC&SL, The Incident, Thin Air, The Resistance). Thin Air was honestly the only one I really felt was doing something new LOL, but The Incident was good and The Resistance and BC/SL could have been worse.

You thought Thin Air was doing something new?  Have you been sleeping under a log or something? LOL

Engaging effectively with the theme of disappearance itself in music isn't something I've heard before (yes, there are a couple of his tracks that have previously tried to do so, sort of, very vaguely, but none really managed it). It's not hard-core-avant-garde-squeaky-noise-man, but it's a bit of genuine novelty and should be respected as such.

Oh I do love the album, most definitely.  It's not a criticism of his work.

I agree about the lyrics though.  Hammill always pulls off something great.  The two WTC tracks are well thought out and not typical of the post-9/11 tracks that have come before.

Plus the way he doesn't centre on one specific person but mentions a whole bunch of people who have disappeared is good too.  Although Universal Soldier does a similar thing but about a different subject matter, of course.

Addendum: most avant-garde music isn't do anything new either

Led Bib and Jean Louis are quite unique though in their own way.  Jean Louis more so.

The Roman Polansky thread is making me hate people on PA again. I don't know if I can forgive those thoughts.

Nice to know that if I can produce some amazing music, I can get away with breaking the law.

I've not commented in it.  Neither have I read any of the thread.  It just does not interest me.

That means I'm still Henner's friend.

He already had a trial and he pled guilty. If he demands an appeal, fine, he has the money for lawyers, I don't particularly care. But he can appeal from jail.

Thanks.

Half of the people who congratulated me did it on the 28th. LOL

James was even more special, did it one day earlier.

Woah Rico, I didn't know it was your birthday. Now I sort of feel bad for missing it.

You don't have feel that way at all, plenty others missed it.

As I said yesterday, many RL friends didn't call/text me. A bit odd, given how few but close RL frends I actually have. Unhappy
